My wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat before heading to Curt Gowdy State Park and decided to go to the Luxury Diner since it was close to the hotel. We definitely made the right choice! Everything was great at the restaurant. The “Big Boy” burrito was absolutely massive and extremely tasty. The green Chile sauce had my wife ditching her French Toast for my breakfast (though the French Toast was fluffy and perfect). Service was friendly, efficient and I couldn’t ask for more. Additional Bonus: Kitchen staff were playing Run The Jewels while working. Was not expecting such great song selection at breakfast!
I was so excited about coming to this diner because of all the good reviews and the number of reviews...I mean all these Google reviewers can't be wrong. We came in on Mother's Day as a group of 7, without calling ahead and I was afraid we wouldn't be able to be seated for awhile, but after explaining that we could be split up, they seated us immediately.Yes, it was Mother's Day so it was busy, but I'm afraid that like many places, they were short on staff. Our server Ashley was attentive and awesome, but there were some hiccups. She took our drink orders and it took a bit to get 2 coffees, 1 chocolate milk, 1 lemonade, and 3 waters. Ok, I get it, this place is packed. However, I was a little perturbed that she took the food order of the table behind us prior to taking our food order as that table was seated about 10 minutes AFTER us.The food tasted amazing but it came out an hour after we ordered. Once again, I get it, they were packed, but an hour seems a little too long.Other issues included my friend substituting their luxury potatoes for french fries, but received french fries and my other friend ordered huevos rancheros, but got an eggs benedict. There are definitely places to improve, mainly in communication, but if I'm in the area, I would come back, just not on a holiday.
This review is my opinion and is based on my visit to this establishment on May 10, 2022.Absolutely fantastic food and service. If you are looking for good country cooking, this is the place to go. As you will see from my Previous reviews, I have visited restaurants all across the country. This will be one of my all time favorites and I will definitely stop here again if I come back to Cheyenne Wyoming.
Terrible service, below average food... would not recommend. The place wasn't that busy, but the service was horrible. The waitresses were all very rude, like it was a bother that we were even there giving them our money. Go somewhere else... stay away.
Great breakfast. It was very filling and flavorful. The place has more of a country feel to it being that you are out of the city. I was visiting Denver and coming into this place was refreshing.Cool atmosphere on the outside too. There is a railroad crossing to symbol cheyenne's railroad history.Overall, this place gets 5 stars.
Stopped in for a quick breakfast with some friends this morning...was told the business had recently switched owners....and it shows...the only good thing I can mention is the place was a lot cleaner than the previous times we had stopped in.The food was absolutely terrible, the hashbrowns were what I would say partially cooked (if that even) the "sausage patties" literally had no flavor, the burger one of my friends had was half the size they were before, by the time we made it through our food it was mostly salt and ketchup to simply add some flavor. The waitress though sweet, was not very helpful, and the cook was actually the one to bring our mealWhen it was time to go, we found ourselves scrambling to figure out how to pay because "apparently" they had no cash in the drawer and could only accept cards???We have all decided we will not be returning to this establishment...Absolutely beyond disappointed..
Exactly what we expected. Nice service. Great old diner with lots of charm. Clean and the food was good. Glad we tried it for breakfast. We would recommend if you have some extra time driving through the area.
Wonderful service and food! All made from scratch!! Such deep history all around! Best kept secret in Cheyenne!
Absolutely love this place! Been here 5 times now and I have liked every meal. I highly recommend their cinnamon rolls and their fried pickles are the best!
Exactly what you'd hope for! It's a diner. It's a great diner. Recommend the chicken fried steak.
