I am giving 4 stars for the workers working today, they were trying very hard. Unfortunately the manager came in and started telling the guy making my ice cream that he was taking too long and needed to hurry up. The young kids working were very friendly saying yes ma’am and yes sir. This place would do much better if they had a better manager.
Ever since the new owners took over I feel like it has went way downhill! I went there to get ice cream a week or two ago and was charged .89 cents for an extra topping that I didn't ask for. My son had a kid's ice cream in a waffle bowl with one extra mix in.He had chocolate syrup and sprinkles and I was charged for 2 toppings when one of them is supposed to come with the ice cream.. I also had asked them to put it on top instead of mixing it in and they went ahead and mixed it in anyways and said, "Oops." when I pointed it out to them. They did not offer to fix this. At the same visit they were out of waffle cones and I had to wait 15 minutes just for a waffle cone and then to turn around and charge me an extra 89 cents for something that I didn't get is crazy. I even pointed it out to the man at the register before he took my money that he charged me an extra 89 cents and he kind of just shrugged his shoulders and said sorry and continued to charge me the 89 cents, I found out that he was the new owner. I have since been back, figuring maybe they were just having an off day. The two times that I went back that he was fixing my ice cream I have had missing toppings. I order the Founders Favorite and two times it did not have caramel in it and once it didn't have caramel OR fudge. So my husband and I decided to get a quart 'to go' the other night. I went to their freezer in the front and went to get the quart of ice cream out and ALL the quarts were melted. I told them and they got me one from the back.... there were still customers in there and nobody even came to investigate the broken freezer or put an out of order sign on it. I had to wait in line awhile after telling them, and nobody came to do anything to that freezer. I asked for a couple waffle cones to go, and asked if they were .99 cents and was told they were. The same lady that just told me they were, rang them up and tried to charge me $1.79 each for them. I told her and she kind of shrugged her shoulders and said they must have changed their prices. So...we get home, get ready to eat the waffle bowl and the WHOLE thing is as hard as a rock!! Bad experiences multiple times. I think we may not be going back there... if we do it will be a long while. This was in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Wow! The people of Cheyenne are nothing but disappointing! Do they realize that the employees they are critiquing in these negative reviews are children? These children who are our future, learning how to work in the real world. If you have allergies, you do have personal responsibility for your safety. I am very thankful and supportive of the owners and their ability to take on our youth and teach them! I won't support another ice cream shop!
Today was horrible, the girl there act like she was too good to provide customer service for a damn shake.. the guy working there was to focused on the female customer with me to get both ice creams done together and not hold the line upHe sucked at paying attention to doing cashier. myself and the female customer could have walked out with free ice cream
Usually have our orders delivered and haven't usually had a problem until today. I ordered a cookie don't you want some, which is supposed to have caramel and fudge in it and mine had neither, only cookie dough and chocolate chips, possibly some sugar cookie dough. The ice cream tasted good, it just wasn't what it was supposed to be. Will give the store another chance because mistakes happen, but you should get what you pay for.
They were dangerous today. Must have been a new girl helping me. I said I'm allergic to nuts. She gave me a blank stare. I said please use freshly clean implements and a new container (ice cream). It looked like she may have used a spot that just had open peanut butter containers on it. I gave her the benefit of the doubt since she did twice it was clean. I should not have. An epipen and the ER on mother's day is awful. I am so disappointed in them.
Would have given 0, but that wasn’t an option. Written by my husband:Went there last night as the end to a daddy-daughter date. The manager “training” was extremely condescending to her employees. After doing this the whole time, she asked about two ice creams. The employee said, “this one is for that person, this one is for her.” Then she tried to give both to my daughter. My daughter said, “Only the apple pie is mine.” The manager yelled, “Keep these orders separated people! You need to keep them separated!” She had just asked, and messed it up herself, after the employer had been clear, and then yelled at the employee for her own mistake. That was the final straw. Another customer said, “You shouldn’t talk to your employees that way”. She explained it was her way of training. I spoke up and said it wasn’t a good way of training and it was very off-putting. She told the other guy and myself, that we could leave if we didn’t like it. My daughter whispered that we should just pay and leave. She was afraid if we left without paying, the lady would be harder on the employees. We paid and left but will not be going back. (Evening of 4/7/2020).
Ice cream is good but they never have enough employees. On three occasions we have gone by well before the advertised closing time and no one is there. Very disappointing
Ice cream is good, but not when they leave out toppings and mix stuff up. We ordered online and you could tell mine was mixed first, my wife's was mixed second and hers tasted like mine, and was missing 2 toppings. That's just sloppy. Make sure you go in and watch them to make sure you're getting what you paid for!
Best place in town for ice cream. The birthday cake remix is my go to every time!!
