I normally go for one of the breakfast bagel sandwiches, but yesterday I decided to switch it up and get the chicken salad on white bread.I got my sandwich very quickly, which was nice. But right after I took my first bite I almost had to spit the whole thing out. I thought maybe the smell of the sandwich threw me off, bur when I tried a second bite I was fully grossed out. The bread I ordered my sandwich on was RAW. Super doughy and tasted really gross and wet. The chicken salad was good, so I ate the first half of my sandwich.I went to ask for a box to go, and also asked the young man working if the bread was always like that. I asked if it was maybe supposed to be baked twice, because it had the texture of par baked bread. He told me no, and said that they baked it there this morning. He said nothing else and I told him my bread was raw. He avoided eye contact and stepped away from the register seemingly disinterested in the fact that the sandwich I bought was inedible. Said nothing else and shrugged. I’m not one to make a scene in a store, especially when the staff seems unreceptive. I thought my tone was simply curious and then informed him of the problem so that no other customers would have the same problem. Seriously, just the bread was under baked.Overall, still great chicken salad inside the sandwich. Per usual the pasta salad was great and I enjoyed my coffee. I’m a bit disappointed in the receptiveness of my concern/complaint and that for me to say anything at all about the condition of my food is quite rare. Hoping this reaches management so raw bread isn’t being served to customers who should anticipate warm crunchy bread. :)
Maybe I just have bad luck or maybe it's the lack of attention to details by the staff when I come in but now for the third time in a row, they have messed up my order. And all three times it's been with a food item. I had ordered a eggwhich croissant with pepper jack and chorizo and some how I ended up with a bagel with cream cheese. I though I would give them another chance after the first two mistakes since I understand that they happen but come on.... looks like I'll be sticking Metro. With more visits, they have yet to screw up my order like this.
Customer service needs to greatly improve. A greeting to make people feel welcome is the normal thing to do. That was kind of off putting to me, that we weren't greeted. But the food was ok.
Great food and drinks! I'm from NY and this place reminds me of home!
Used to get excellent service, last few months not so much. Food is good here, I like the chicken salad in an avocado, and pasta salad.
Usually they are great. Today it took 25 minutes, they forgot our order, got part of it wrong and couldnt remember if we paid. Everyone has bad days. Today was not the usual, but it went downhill fast.
Slow af lol perk up guys put some pep in your step I was waiting 20 mins for my to go order I put in 1 hr ahead of time
The best chicken salad and pasta salad. I also love their breakfast bagels. It’s my favorite brunch spot with tons of drink options.
I don't know how the coffee was. We sat in the drive through line behind 2 cars for without being able to order, for probably 10 minutes, thinking, " oh wow their must only be one person working. Then we noticed people going in, my nephew went inside to see if they were short staffed, we could be patient and wait. He came out and said there were at least 5 people working and was told by one employee that Saturday is always slow. By that time we decided coffee was not worth the wait.
Food and coffee is great, but don't expect it in a reasonable time. There is zero reason to wait 30-45 mins sometimes longer for a coffee a few milks and scones. The last few times Ive stopped I'm like oh yeah 45 mins before I need to be somewhere perfect I've got time and then I'm rushing to get to where I need to be. Staffing isn't an excuse I run a coffee shop by myself for several hours multiple times a week and can have even large orders (20+ items) out in under 15 mins.
