Our group of four women stayed 4 nights in a river view suite with two rooms - two queen beds in the main room and a third in the second room. The room was clean and had a coffee maker, microwave, and small fridge. Comfy beds. As noted in other reviews the bathroom was small but adequate for our purposes with plenty of towels. The view of the river was great. So enjoyed watching the kayakers in the morning and the ducks in the evening. The location is excellent - a short walk to the main drag along a pretty river walk. Also the boat for the Sunset River Cruise docks next store just steps away. We ate breakfast and lunch several times at the hotel restaurant - always on the deck overlooking the river. Food was good and moderately priced. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There is an indoor pool with a whirlpool, sauna, outdoor deck. Towels available in the pool area. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
I would never stay at the Vue again. We ended up with a room in their other building. It was very damp in the room the whole time. It had a wet wood smell. Probably all the old wood paneling in there. Or the smell could of been all the mold that was in the vent of the air conditioning unit.
The night clerk should find a new job ! Rude, unhelpful, angry all the time. 6 people and only gave us 1 wash cloth and 4 towels. The wrist bands that must be worn make you feel like your at a cheap carnival. If you lose a wrist band it's $20 for a new one. Yelling in the hallway tops it off....
We stopped for a mid-afternoon bite to eat and enjoy the views that are available here. The waiter was friendly and very attentive without being overbearing. I noted him checking on our table from a distance several times without needing to interrupt our meal. The food was well prepared. I was disappointed to see that I was too early to enjoy the same Mushroom Risotto I has last year but my decision to try the Philly did not disappoint. Our Calamari appetizer was perfectly prepared as well. Still on our list to visit again when we return to the area.
We had a river-front balcony with a porch overlooking the Wisconsin River. The room was small. Two beds and one office chair. the bathroom/sink/shower were very small, as well. The location was. great, with the main shopping areas a 5-10 minute walk on a riverfront sidewalk. The pub/restaurant was excellent, including beautiful river views or outdoor seating.
Fantastic evening sunsets! Food was good, not great. Pretty good drinks and our server was very good.
At 12:20 am on June 20, 2022, room 1428, I was woken up by knocking on door, someone said "Security", immediately unlocked the door and walked in my room. He walked over to my desk where I had my stuff and started going through it without asking permission, saying "We have a problem, we didn't know you were in here" despite my checking in over 7 hours earlier. He then told the female security guard to come in while I was still in bed, and gave her one of my keys, she asked my name then left the room. I finally woke up enough to ask him what exactly he expected me to do, he said something like don't worry, we're not going to make you switch rooms, that they had just booked the room and given a key to someone else who opened my door while I was sleeping and got scared that the room was occupied by someone sleeping, and then he left my room. What really infuriates me is they gave keys to a room I was sleeping to people I don't know and they opened my door while I was asleep. I complained in the morning to the front desk people, but it took 20 minutes to find a manager who had to call me on my cell. I was finally able to tell her why I was upset security just walked in my room in the middle of the night and started going through my stuff on the desk without asking, and them giving a key to my room to someone else while I was sleeping. She eventually took $100 off my $245 room fee. My room was description was "Two Queen Beds Unit Balcony/Patio Overlooks The Beautiful Upper River" but none of the rooms had a balcony or patio, blatant false advertising. Furnishings in room are very dated and worn.
Worse Experience in our life!!! We Traveled with two sons, 10 month and 3 years old for the older son 3rd birthday. on Jul 14th, 2022, we booked a room in NATURA VUE HOTEL via hotels.com. There was a Picture of advertised hotel and restaurant in the same building. We thought it would be great since we would eat breakfast without living the spot. We arrived 30 min after booking online and did the registration but could not find our room. It turned out it was a false advertisement, and we were told the room is actually in different location and different building that has no restaurant. After my husband explained that we booked the room only because it was advertised on the pictures as in the building we were in and with restaurant inside, so we could purchase breakfast without leaving the spot, some guy came in and said we should have read the confirmation email that said we paid for motel room. I said that the confirmation email came after we paid! and that we just saw our payment was confirmed and came to hotel with two small, tired children and that we would never book this room if we knew the advertise for hotel with restaurant is actually motel. We said we do not want to stay in the other building since we did not know and asked for refund. The person that was there said he is a manager and told us that we will not get any refund and to get the F..... of his hotel or he will call police!!!! in front of my small children!!!! After I said I will call customer support, he suddenly said he will refund our money but refused to give us the refund confirmation. He screamed at me if: I did not understand English because he just told us to get the F..... of his hotel and we can call Hotels.com for confirmation if we want! We actually left with our 3 years old traumatized!!!! because of this guy, we called Hotels.com and told them what happened. They were apologizing for what happened to us but did nothing really to help in this situation. They said they will contact the hotel and demand they send the refund confirmation email to us. We finally got email from Natura Destinations. It said that we booked room with $0.00 total, and we are ready to check out with notation that we are BLACKLISTED!!!! This is the most outrageous, horrible, unprofessional experience we`ve heard of and could not even believed it just happened to us. How dare a "MANAGER???" screamed at us using such a vulgar language in front of our two small sons!!! What kind of Menager acts as a criminal and can get away with treating guests like that???? We already contacted BBB and writing curently to GA. and we will not stop writing to all institutions, web pages, sides and newspapers we can think of until we get apologies from this company and assurance that no other guests will have to go through the same experience after what happened to us!!!
This is not a boutique hotel. It’s just an economy hotel calling itself a boutique hotel. They put in a replica miners lamp light, threw in a bulb that was annoyingly bright and are calling it a boutique hotel. When I checked in I asked where the laundry was and the person at check in said downstairs. We got in and settled and went to do laundry and discovered a sign on the machine that said “out of order.” I went back to the front desk and asked about laundry and they said we could use the laundry at their sister resort 1.5 miles away. It would have been nice if they would have let us know at check in when I asked at check in so we could have made arrangements or if they’d even offered to move our reservation to the other hotel. The laundry at the sister hotel was in the hall so we spent the majority of our evening standing in a hallway at a hotel we weren’t even staying at. The pillowtop of the queen bed curved at the edge making it uncomfortable for 2 people, though it would probably be comfortable for one. The room was clean.
I was torn what to review this hotel. I booked the hotel for our family of 5. The website allowed me to book a 2 queen room for 5 people. When we arrived we were surprised how small the room was. It was a tight fit for 5 people. The bathroom had a very noise fan and only one small light. The beds were comfortable. The nice thing about this property is it shared amenities with 2 other properties. We used the swimming area at Aloha Beach and the kids loved it. The website when you book doesn't give very good information so ask a lot of questions.
