It took two hours to get burgers for two people. While we understand it's a popular special, there were many open tables for two people. Very slow service. Will not be going back any time soon.
Jugs always reminds me of that show "Cheers" where everybody knows your name. The staff is always on top of their game and they're personable and fast. The food is way above average, comes out hot and tasty (fab burgers!) The best thing is that they consistently deliver - and they care that you like your food and that you are happy customer.
I have eaten there several times, hoping the next time will be good. After all, it always has a lot of customers. However, I didn't like their food, either little flavor or dried-out meat, all while high prices. I ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich and it came with fries and a pickle slice. The chicken breast was so dry I decided not to eat the other half. The servers were soooo busy and almost frantic. I didn't complain as I felt bad for my server. The meal with a soda was over $18. Wow.I don't plan to return.
We live 30 miles away and visited on Saturday so my wife could try the prime rib. We got there early (4:00 p.m.) and it was already packed but since we only had two in our party we got seated with minutes. She loved the prime rib and sides and my pizza was good. We will make the trip again.
First time in here, stopped for lunch. Best cheeseburger I ever had. I’m 60yrs old…….that’s quite a few cheeseburgers!! As a matter of fact, best waffle fries I ever had also. I’m figuring the rest of their menu items are probably nothing short of outstanding also.
We had the Tuesday chicken special with mashed potatoes and green beans.The entire meal was cold butter didn't even melt , too muchbreading on the chickenWe should have returned the entire order. Waitress gave us new potatoes. Service was good.. Not good . We have always had a great meal before. Service was good.

We were in the area to celebrate our nephew's birthday at Sunburst. Decided after conducting a Google search to head to Jug Hitching Post. The dinner crowd was there but the wait was short. The staff were amazing on multiple levels but in general: positive and attentive. The seafood chowder was light and fulfilling, burgers were thick and juicy! and Saturday nights special exceeded anticipation for presentation and taste! We wish we would have Jugs Hitching Post closer than an hour+ drive away to visit more. You truly have a great establishment and would highly recommend to anyone. (We were a group of 6.)Above and beyond: thank you again to the family that sat next to us that offered us a pay it forward moment. Truly still in disbelief and thankful for above n beyond generosity. Thank you!

First time there. Great sandwiches!! Reuben had outstanding corned beef and the bison burger was excellent, very flavorful. Waitress was friendly and very quick with drinks and dinner. She also gave us a great preview of what we can get on their Thursday and Saturday specials. Looking forward to that!!
