Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Makes eating out a dining experience. The gnocchi is excellent. Strongly recommend!

I absolutely love Wild Roots. The food is phenomenal & never disappoints! I would definitely recommend getting the Duck Fat Burger. Last time i went there, they didn't have the cocktail i wanted and the waiter was nice enough to recommend a Watermelon one that tasted even better.

This was some of the best food I have ever tasted. It was soooooooo goood. You can taste the freshness and the quality of the ingredients. The wings are amazing and so was the steak sandwich. I would HIGHLY recommend to everyone. In a nice area and the people who work there were also really nice. I did have to wait 45 minutes for my food but it was sooooooo very worth it?!! Can’t wait to come back.

We love Wild Roots! Their staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The menu is adventurous, but has classic favorites for the picky eaters. Their rotational dessert menu might be my favorite part! They have unique cocktails and my favorite entree is the Vegan Thai Curry.

This chef is amazing! Cozy, date night, great wines. The Faroe grain Island salmon was incredible!

Went here for the first time last night and we were blown away! It was a rainy night and the atmosphere inside was so cozy and inviting. We sat at the bar and our server/bartender was wonderful! I wanted to try everything on the menu, but I had my heart set on the duck fat burger and WOW was it incredible! I will be dreaming about it for a long time. Also had the brown butter chocolate chip skillet cookie which was phenomenal. Can't wait to go back and try out the rest of the menu!

Well, a week ago, coming on my way home after seeing some friends and deciding as close to dinner time that I was a bit hungry. So I decided to stop at a place that always intrigued me in passing but never stopped. Wild Roots on 6807 W Becher St, West Allis, WI 53219. Very close to Becher Meats and the West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shop. I got there as they had just started their dinner service and as by myself seated myself at the bar. The staff was very attentive and, in my experience, continued delightful to talk to. Several things caught my eye in looking at the dinner menu, but as not extremely hungry, I decided on a couple of small plates. I decided on the Deviled Eggs with Chicharrones and the Vietnamese Chicken Wings. Both items were delicious and well presented, and very tasty. I looked over menus later in the night when I got home and for sure have to revisit for brunch. Maybe I'll see you there!

Wild Roots is delicious! I highly recommend the Duck Fat Burger, which is regularly cooked medium to enhance flavor and more, but personally i ask them to cook it slightly longer. No issues whatsoever. I have been there twice thus far. Once with a group of 6 ladies and Karla was great! Got all the orders right, explained everything like it was second nature and was on top of it! We didn’t have to wait for anything because she was right there often. The manager/Sioux Chef Carli came to find out how the food was and make sure all was to our liking. Great experience for all 6 of us and everyone only had good things to say. Food was also great, as were the leftovers. The second time there was tonight with my parents. Karla and Carli were there and yet again, were flawless. Such great positive energy - good knowledge - good food - and can’t think of one negative thing. Thank you all for a great experience, especially Karla and Carli - twice!

Great food! The bread was well toasted and warm but still amazingly soft. I loved my grilled hanger steak sandwich!

Great local restaurant in West Allis that sources their ingredients from the local area. I stopped by for brunch and went with the Mushroom Omelette made with 3 eggs sourced from local farmers, mushrooms, and cheese. It was definitely worth the trip and right near a great cheese shop, butcher shop, and bakery.
