Nice layout with darts, pull tabs, and free pool. Very fair prices. Food was OK, and service was very poor. When my group entered the establishment, the bartender seemed visibly annoyed and was rude to us. She also continued to make sarcastic comments throughout our visit. I am being generous with a 3 star review.
The staff was super nice, they have a decent beer selection, and the burgers were all delicious, I got the murder burger, my friend got the Mac and cheese burger, both were cooked perfectly, they tasted great, weren't over seasoned or sloppy. It was one of the best burgers I've had in a while.
First time here. Nothing fancy just a good old place to have good food drinks and they have a pool table and darts. Service was fast and reasonable prices. If you are ever in Milwaukee check this place out
First time visit here and we will definitely return! It is worth the trip from Madison! The food was so delicious - still dreaming about my burger and fries. The atmosphere is cool, collected and clean. The music was awesome and the bartender and waitstaff were attentive and so nice!
I am writing this review in response to the owner reaching out, which I appreciate.To put it simply, the service was terrible. My group got a table and a server/bartender brought us menus and our drinks a few minutes later.This was the last we saw of any server for nearly 30 minutes. It was a little busy, but not more than a staff should be able to handle given the space.After 30 minutes or so, I got up to go to the bar just in case were supposed to order at the bar. I was ignored by both bartenders for another several minutes. No one acknowledged me until I asked for the check so that we could leave. I will say that the bartender did comp our sodas so that we could leave without having to wait any longer.
This place needs to pay more attention to who they hire.
It has a wood and steel design, I love it. But the music was Rap and Hip Hop majority of the time I was there, no biggie, one bartender and an amazing food line they have, perfect corner dive bar. Deffinetly go back on a non-busy day.I loved the peperjack mozsticks they were huge you get 5 and it was very cheesy. The food is 5 stars in my preference.
Food was fantastic. If you're looking for great greasy bar food, this is your place. My date and I were incredibly hungry and Crooked Cow did NOT disappoint. Fantastic beer menu too. Check them out!
Had the best experience here!!First of all, the food was incredible. Second of all, we happened upon the owner, Robert, who was a real cool dude and happened to be shooting pictures of their delicious specials for the month of May and he let us be taste testers (read: free food ???)Great draft beer selection, good background music, and excellent food- who could ask for anything more! I'll have to come back weekly this month for that super creamy buffalo chicken Mac n cheese (1/2 lb boneless chicken on there!) ?Go get you a beer. Heck, while you're at it grab some beer battered fries and that delicious mac n cheese. And why not a hoodie too ??
I live right around da corner from this establishment. Ordered food via phone, employees r very pleasant, clean place & well lit. Food is a little pricey, but honestly, u get what u pay 4 & my son & l were very satisfied w/ their food. They have specials & the specials r also honored 2 go (well that's what the bartender told me). Very impressed, plz visit, u won't b disappointed.
