Loved their food the first time trying it and still loved it the second time going. Each dish is packed with flavor and everything comes out super hot so be careful when you take that first bite! Because we wanted to try out everything on the menu that's why you see a table full of food. The portions are pretty big and enough to share so order to your liking. One thing I would ask for is better air circulation/condition as it gets pretty heated up in there. Overall, great food and service.Note: call ahead to reserve or let them know you have a big group if more than 5 people.
If you want some authentic Sichuan (Sze Chuan) Chinese food, this is the closest you can get in Milwaukee. Absolutely delicious food. As a Chinese American, I am so proud that they kept the authenticity of real Chinese food alive and did not make their restaurant into just another Americanized Chinese food restaurant. For all of the foodies in the area, try this place if you want to experience some true flavor of Chinese food. I saw some earlier reviews saying that the food is not authentic. All I can say is that you have to know what to order from the menu. I ordered the Sautéed Lamb and the Sliced Beef in Chili Pepper Soup. They are really good. If you are just ordering from the lunch specials, you are not going to get the authentic experience. There are some Americanized items on the menu, so a rule of thumb is when you order here don't order food you normally see in other Chinese restaurants. Try the Szechuan Specials and some of the cold dishes.中国朋友们,如果你们来密尔瓦基想吃一些家乡风味,这家店是你的首选。很好吃。?
Absolutely amazing food, when folks of Chinese decent come here you know it's good.I had the spicy pork Dumplings, Coconut slushy, and House Pork ribs the flavor was just out of this world.Highly recommend this restaurant for Sze Chuan cuisine and other regional Chinese dishes.
Enjoyed the dishes we ordered: pot sticker, onion pancake, Szechuan noodles, mapo taufu with pork, braised mushrooms with choy sum and chilies taufu. Place was clean and hot food (temperature) came fairly quickly.
Very nice service. The fried rice and lo mein will excellent, light, good portion. We didn't have the Hot Pot but it appeared to be a favorite. Clean and busy but didn't feel crowded.
Tried the hot pot with 2 others. What a great tasty meal! I was surprised that I enjoyed the tofu and mushrooms the best.
Came here for the fei teng fish, which I've had a hard time finding since moving to Milwaukee from Chicago. It was amazing! Very spicy but still balanced in flavor, delicious peppercorns with the classic tingly feeling, and the fish was fresh and buttery (hard to come by in fish soup of any variety). The dishes come in large servings, so plan on coming with a group or taking leftovers if you're a light eater like I am. Great service as well, can't wait to come back for the hot pot.
The staff and food are always great! This place has the best hotpot in Milwaukee. One of the few places serving their authentic style. The place is always packed so make sure to arrive early. People in the reviews calling it not authentic are the ones ordering American dishes and then complaining about it.
My husband and I finally came here after driving by many times and always seeing it packed. We saw many people from China coming here and thought that was a good sign that this would be authentic food! We enjoyed our time very much. The food was excellent and the price was very good. The staff was also very friendly and we enjoyed talking to them about the food in different regions of China. We will definitely be coming back!
Love how the food is just so delicious
