Arrived at the restaurant a little over an hour before it closed, but waited for 30 minutes (15 for someone to greet us, 5 more to be seated, 10 minutes to have anyone come over to our table) before we started to eat. There were only two servers so I understand being behind, but we weren’t able to start eating for a long period of time. When we went up for our second plate (25 minutes before closed) the short, bald, beady eyed chef made the comment (along the lines of) “we are basically closed and you guys are coming up now.” Extremely rude and disrespectful comment that will never make me come back to this location. Was also surprised to see that the manager was not out there helping the servers.Love the food but service was awful
Love HuHot!! My family and I reaply enjoy eating at HuHot. It's a healthier option compared to many other restaurants. We love the options available to build our plates with. The only complaint I have was that our waitresses nails were ENTIRELY too long to be working in food service. We may get our own plates, but she serves salads, drink, other menu options, etc...and I know in food service workers aren't supposed to have their nails that long because they harbor bacteria. So, that grossed me out slightly but otherwise our experience and food were good.
Great food with a brilliant concept. It was amazing being able to mix and match your food while seeing it cooked in front of you. The chefs and owner (who was our server) were incredibly fun and respectful. I'll definitely be bringing some friends to show them this place.
The concept is great but the delivery is standard. Maybe it was the time of day we went, 7pm and they close at 8pm, but we weren't thrilled with the experience. There are lots of options of meats and vegetables, they cook it in front of you, then put your piping hot food on a cold plate. By the time you sit down and start eating, the top is hot and the bottom has cooled from the plate.
The service was absolutely terrible but the food and chefs were great. I’m not a fan that all the meat and seafood is frozen but it did turn out delicious. The only reason I would come back is for the food. We stood at the host stand for 10 minutes while 2 servers kept passing it and not saying a word. Then we got seated after 25 minutes of waiting. Waited to put our drink order in but they never came so we went to get food. After we were done eating, we waited another 15 minutes to get the bill. Mind you, this was at 7pm tonight and wasn’t busy towards the end of our stay.
First time eating here. The chefs are the best part and would do 5 stars if it wasnt for the disorganized wait staff. Our hostess seats us and says she is going to let our server know we have been seated. 10 or so min go by and still no server. So we decided to follow the crowd and just go up and start making our bowls. After being there now for 20min still no server. We then ask another server if we can have someone help us. She looked at me like I was bothering her by asking. Finally after 25min of being there we have a server ?
Huhot had excellent variety and quality food! The staff was extremely friendly, the price was extremely reasonable, and the cook at the grill was funny and helpful. I believe this is a chain? If so I hope the other restaurants are as amazing as this one was. Definitely will make a point to visit this place in the future.
Food was bland and undercooked. Server never offered us our soup or salad that comes with the meal. We ordered pot stickers and they had freezer burn. The server barely showed her face while we were eating but she was quick to take our money.
Choose your plate portions as you like...Fibre, proteins, carbs. Love the options, plus unlimited food. Would have been more healthier if only frozen items were minimized but get it.
Great idea for eating out if you're indecisive and would like some amazing entertainment for a great price. I've never had been here before I ate here for the first time and it blew my mind?
