Brother brought me here today for lunch. Authentic and authentic. I had 3 burritos with mole sauce: one chicken, one cheese, one vegetable. Cheese was Mexican cheese. Vegetable was cactus, chili, pumpkin blossom. Not americanized. Very interesting. Mole sauce, a little spicy but very tasty. Hibiscus tea presweetened. Maybe too sweet. I want to go again and try some other things on their menu. In the midst of a residential neighborhood in West Allis, but painted bright red so you can't miss it. Also has some type of air circulation system. Comfortable booths.
I used to love the food when they were next to the gas station. I went with my family yesterday, and the food didn't taste right. The 2 tacos al pastor dinners tasted like cinnamon, almost like horchata, as well as the chicken quesodilla. It was weird for all three dinners to share this odd taste. My younger daughter immediately asked why her food tasted like cinnamon toast crunch. Rice and beans were ok. ? Very sad, the food used to be amazing.
I don't like leaving a poor review. My family & I have visited in the past at the original location. I was excited to see the new place. For lunch, we were charged dinner prices?. Our meals lacked the basic toppings for tacos. IE;Tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream. When we asked for forks & napkins the staff responded as if we were asking alot. ? I hope thus review will help with the details needed to continue to grow and prosper. Much luck.
Very cute place. Food is good, service is good. Affordable.
I hate leavening negative feedback, however doing it in hopes the owner and staff of this restaurant improves their service. The horchata is not made from scratch, the chips are bagged, the salsa is canned. The servers try but need so much training, we sat there for 40 minutes waiting for our food and servers kept coming to us to let us know our food was almost ready. This was for a table of 4. Finally after the long wait our server came by to re-take our order because she “did not know what happened to our ticket” the fact that she didn’t even remembered our order and kept giving us the run around instead of checking with their cooks says a lot about their experience as servers. I hope the owner fixes this to avoid any future negative reviews from future customers. I did not re-give my order and decided to leave to another restaurant, will not be returning.
I've heard nothing but good from here, so it may just be an isolated event. But our food was very disappointing. 1 out 3 chicken tacos tasted rotten. Had to spit it out, smelled bad too. My husband's chicken burrito was the same way. My sons 3 chicken tacos were all fine. All our beans were watery and did not taste right either. Tossed that too.On the upside, staff was great. Place was nice and clean (went in for pickup) The place was packed and always seems to be, so again, this may just have been a once in a lifetime thing.
Very good! The burrito was delicious, rice and beans were done right! I would recommend you try it out, the reviews aren’t lying! I will be back! Bit pricey but worth it.
Mainly go for the burritos since they are tasty and are pretty good deal. The real winner is their red hot sauce which I would totally buy a jar of if they sell it.
I loved this place when it was in its past location and so glad it's still in the neighborhood. Delicious food and really friendly staff. I highly recommend it!!
Great food friendly staff and homemade tortillas what else could you ask for.
