This is probably the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at. The lasagna was delicious and I highly recommend it. Also, get the carrot cake because it is so moist and the frosting is so good even though I’m not frosting person. Service was great and the lady who served us was lovely and sweet. Overall, the service and all of our food of a family of five was delicious and we will definitely be back!
My favorite hidden gem for sure. Tonight was my second experience and it was so memorable. The best part of this place, aside from the food and lovely atmosphere, is Trudy. She is such a gem. Her recommendations are always the best-especially her salad dressing. She is a true professional. If you want really wonderful authentic Italian food and wine and extraordinary service, this is the jam. We are big fans. Keep it up, Caterina's!
High end Italian in an unassuming location. From the welcoming and knowledgeable wait staff to the flavorful and satisfying dishes you will have an exceptional experience. The escargot was rich and the eggplant strips were tender. For entree we enjoyed the lamb shank and scallop scampi which left nothing to be desired. Definitely recommend for a special occasion.
We order escargot, baked clams and lasagna.Escargot and clams were a big miss, basically non-existent portions for the price and covered in cheese, so essentially they were just small cheese balls.Lasagna was okay, pretty heavy on meat and sauce with little cheese. Mostly just underwhelming.The side soup was the best part of the meal and was essentially just chicken noodle soup.The atmosphere was nice inside but the food did not match.
So impressed with this beautiful, quaint and friendly restaurant which is welcoming and smells delicious upon entering! We celebrated a friend's birthday and were so glad we picked this place! It was perfect from start to finish. I had the Lamb Shank, my wife had the Veal Caterina, our friends had scampi and Steer Antonio. To die for! Generous portions with a wonderful antipasto plate that is complimentary along with hot bread, fresh olive oil with garlic. We also had the mussels and mozzarella marinara as an appetizer. Best mozzarella marinara ever. They explained it is hand breaded. Can't wait to go back.
March 7 2022 I ordered for pick up. I never write reviews but, I am very upset so I have to . The food was so overpriced for what I purchased I ordered the escargot which I love because a comment said it was really good he was right.still overpriced for what I got . Now this is the worst!!!!!The Rigatoni bolognese says it has pancetta in it ,grounded up veal,celery,carrots,and onions with a light tomato cream sauceSoundsgoodright? I love !!!!!!Italian.This was not close for this entree. I searched for the pancetta ….I absolutely couldn’t find it. The carrots. & celery were there just barely. That sauce they talk about on the menu,is not there.barely any tomatoe sauce mostly meat a couple carrots and celery and onion. It really had no veal flavor,I thought maybe it was ground beef.I have a good pallet. Super upset I spent a good amount of money for basically something that tasted like I could cook at home, mine would be better ,I was excited about the order,It sounded very good,to end up with something that disappointing,what a waste of money!!!!!!!!! The garlic bread also was way over cooked and we could not taste any garlic ,it had an odd flavor.I can never go there again .I was hoping I had found a new,good Italian restaurant ,no I did not
As a restaurant owner I must say this place is terrific. Fantastic. The service was phenomenal. And I love the atmosphere. You’ve been in business a long time so you know what you’re doing. Good job!
This was thee most distasteful restaurant I’ve ever been to Tony the manager or whatever he is was very rude. I had hair in my food no one came to the table to apologize to justify the problem. I did come at about closing time and my food was RUSHED I would’ve thought they’d at least take their time. They had plenty guest at the bar still drinking wine and etc so I didn’t understand why I couldn’t get a proper greeting even coming through the door. DON’T SPEND MONEY HERE it’s not worth it.
We’ve been here many times. My wife and I love this place. Great food, wonderful staff. I’ve also taken a group of 18 here and they all were very happy. Tonight I had filet mignon and my wife had here usual spiedini which she loves. Can’t go home without a cannoli.
Wow…Wow…Wow…how can something be SOoooo good be so depressing at the same time?! ?Well, on NYE…don’t remember how it came to me, but an idea popped into my head to go here. The draw back, it’s a two hour drive each way; the good, I actually like to drive. The last time we were here was 20 or almost 20 years ago!!! I actually remember the experience like it was yesterday! The wife and I was dating at the time and what a wonderful experience it was! The waitress was a much older lady and boy did she treat us perfectly! I remember cracking up, because she treated us like her children! We loved the experience! It made such a great impression that we always wanted to go back! Sad part is…life stepped in and 20 years later we finally went back to where it all started!Tonight was a special night…actually special day. The stars lined up and we get to have a reservation knowing it was busy and once again had a great time! This time we had a young punk serving us…she was GREAT! Thank gawd she didn’t treat her like the first! Ha! Perfect timing with service and even the bus boys was good. Water filling was well timed. Drinks offer was perfect time when low. And the food…what can U say about the food…WOW!!! Very tasty and well seasoned! Both of our dishes were delicious and can’t wait for the next time. That’s the sad part of our story…can’t believe it took us 20yrs but hey, WE R BACK! We will make all attempts to go back more frequently, if they promise to keep this up! ? thank you for a fantastic experience!
