Came here for the first time tonight, all I can say is WOW! The flavor of their tacos are amazing! My husband and I each got 3 different tacos and every bite just got better! Can't wait to come back and try other items along with their margaritas ?
The atmosphere is very cool and laid back. The food is EXCELLENT! We had the Birria Flights which include black beans and their signature Hamanas rice. The drink were good as well. They also bring you out 3 different salsa...the pineapple jalapeno one is so good. Definitely plan to go back there soon! It's a little dark where we sat so the photos are great lol
The tacos i had were good. Just wish it could've been more traditional Mexican food on the menu.
Went here for the first time after going to Zisters many times. Food overall was good. Had the birria flight and it was delicious. Chips and salsa could’ve had a little more chips. Main issue was they missed one member of our parties meal, and we didn’t get it until after everyone else was finished eating. The waiter had to be flagged down to ask about where the meal was, and then we weren’t offered a discount or anything. Overall I’d give it another try since the food was good but the service wasn’t that great.
As always the food is top notch, even came out hot. On this day they were very busy, really not complaining because we didn't need a reservation. Either they didn't have enough help or just really busier than usual. Heard other people complaining, maybe just in certain sections. We enjoyed our dinner.
I give it a 3 because I do like the decor and the setting of the restaurant very cozy.I came here because I LOVE Zisters and Jacksons bar!!! I was disappointed though, Jackson’s and Zisters is priced perfectly which is why they are consistently busy!Hermanas is OVERLY priced. The drink we got was literally juice so we didn’t order any more. :(The food was good but very greasy including my $10.00 eloteThe chips and salsa is good. The lady that helped us was okay, wish she smiled more.I also compared the prices to Paloma’s because it’s also not a authentic Mexican restaraunt. But it is very good also just less greasy, more friendly and fairly priced. Elote is $5.00 instead of $10.00 drinks are 8 to 9 bucks. 2 drinks over 10, very fair! Tacos are all 3 to 4.5But they don’t do no cost chips and salsa
Took our son and daughter in law for dinner. Had the house margaritas, which were flavorful and a wonderful start. Complimentary chips and salsa were good...liked the sweet pineapple salsa. Ordered taco flights (which include 3 tacos, rice and black beans). Short rib taco was delicious, however, the steak and pork were so overcooked and dry and the chicken was drowned in sauce. Pretty disappointed for the price. We like to try new places, but we won't be back. Very overpriced. Side note: staff was nice and accomodating, but I think we are all at a restaurant for good food...
Good food Great service. Interesting come in here knowing it used to have duck pin bowling now where they have the dinning room. Atmosphere missing coziness but the entrées make up for it. We will be back in the summer when they can open the garage door windows. We'll should be back sooner for another pitcher of margaritas and a summer state of mind.
Went here with my girlfriend with high expectations. Left very disappointed. Food portions are very small and prices are high. Flavor wise though was decent. Our food was served by an 11 year old boy which seemed odd. Honestly, you can get phenomenal authentic Mexican food at any food truck on the south side for way cheaper and you won't be hungry when you're finished. I really wanted to like this place but it ended up just being a waste of my time and money.
Over priced. We spent $50 on guac, two drinks, and a shared entree. The drinks were good, guac needed more salt, and I was shocked at both the quantity and quantity of our beef short rib as the entree. I bet we got *maybe* 4 ounces of short rib on top of a handful of French fries. Very disappointing. Not even sure how you can call that a meal.
