Best pizza in the metro area. Super thin crispy crust, sweet sauce, and square cut. With a glass a red wine it makes a great night. The egg plant is battered and fried perfectly.
This restaurant lies. Their menu reads "will make food to order". I told the service staff, who was efficient and caring. that I had food allergies and any spice would give me a severe headache. She assured me that she would write this on the order sheet and absolutely I would get the meal without any spices. I took 2 bites of the food and immediately told her I tasted pepper. She checked with the chef. She returned and said that that steak comes preseasoned and so they could not change it. Why then didn't they tell me that before I ate it and got sick. They did not charge me for the meal.. Later I called and talked to the manager about this. He said they did not charge me for the meal. I asked about a gift certificate because I was getting a severe headache that would last at least 4 hours. I did not get any. I do not think any restaurant in Milwaukee would charge for a meal that they batched so he did not do anything special. He just did the bare minimum. They did not care one iota that their carelessness caused me to be sick in bed for over 4 hours for their gross negligence.
Great food and friendly service.
Family friendly and always excellent thin crust large rectangular pizzas with flexibility to do half and half for different tastes!
Great food and drink !!! I’ve been enjoying their pizza since the 90’s . It’s always been good food and service !!!
Grade A service and food!First time my son got to experience the great Italian cuisine as well as the beautiful ambience of this restaurant which has been a staple of Milwaukee for years.Garlic bread was so good the kids chicken strips were more than enough especially for the price. The Italian beef was amazing and the pizza was why I keep coming back!
Despite living in the Milwaukee area for several decades, I had never swung by this popular institution. We visited on an unseasonably warm early spring day that made everyone come out from hibernation, so when we got there at 3:30 pm on Saturday it was packed. We ordered a medium pizza and a half-pitcher of Spotter Cow beer. The oval-shaped pizza with a perfect light crust comes to the table on something like a cookie sheet. It was excellent, but not the best I've ever had. I wish the sauce had a bit more flavor. My personal favorite pizza would be from one of the places on Wooster Street in New Haven, Conn. This is a similar style. The tables are close together for a cozy environment. Our server was cheerful & efficient despite being busy. I would definitely go here again. I wish I would have tried it years ago.
Cannot say enough about the food, the staff and the ambiance. Whether it is pregame, post-game, special night out, day drinking and dining or late night cocktails and dinner after a late flight this place never, ever disappoints. Its been that way for years and hope it never changes.
Been a couple years since we last reviewed this place and delightfully nothing has changed. While there has been no COVID spacing of table by visiting at slightly off hours we have dined with adequate distance and masked employees.Their pizza and really all their menu haven’t changed since they opened and we’ve been coming here for 40 years. The pizza is absolutely consistent with wonderfully thin and flakey yeasted dough, a slightly acidic marinara, and abundant toppings. Their LARGE is nearly table-top size, way too large for us nowadays but a large Italian “style” salad and a small are still more than we can eat. Apps are wonderful but it’s hard to get past the fried eggplant strips to which we usually succumb. They have a pretty full line menu, with lots of Italian specialties, but we rarely stray from the pizza. It has to be the best thin crust pizza in 100 miles!
This is an okay pizza for Milwaukee. crust is very doughy and soggy and was not cut properly leading to the toppings coming off when slices were pulled. really messy to eat. it's a bit overpriced.I am not from this area and for 2 years I've been trying to find decent pizza in Milwaukee. the sausage is good and the cheese is good.as we get to the center of the pizza the crust seems undercooked and soggy. no, I will not buy and undercooked pizza to finish cooking at home.
