The food was delicious. I had the Cajun Walleye. Everyone else had fish fry. The portions were large and hot. Only 2 servers, who were overwhelmed by the amount of guests. Had to go to the bar to get drinks due to how busy she was. Bartenders were friendly and fast. Love the decor of the place. I'd go back again. Overall I had a great time
I’m embarrassed to say I went back.The breaded perch -if hand breaded- was poor. The fish with the breading was rubbery and dry as if freezer burned. The breading if fresh did NOT taste it.The “wild rice” was mostly light brown rice with a few strands of wild. Also served in a small paper cup so that the bottom 1/2” was hardened and stuck together. Yuck.Can’t fault the waitress. Her first day on the job. Attentive and prompt.I usually Rave about the local bar and small restaurant food. This was an embarrassment.I do need to say the noon cook is excellent. No complaints.
Best fish fry ever!! Had the beer battered Perch and it was absolutely delicious.
Awesome service. Karaoke night was amazing. Jesse was absolutely phenomenal as a bartender. 10/10 5 star service
I realize I was here on a Tuesday evening, where NO ONE was eating.Bartenders were disinterested and borderline rude. Place was dead and it didn't seem like customers were a concern.
RUDE,DIRTY,STINKY, GROSSB.T.W Not allowing people to sit at a table and slapping menus on the bar to insist no seating anywhere but at a Very Dirty barstool at the bar is not going to bring people back..Ever

The bar and staff are friendly. Bar food is not very good. Burgers are hockey pucks, fries are soggy, and cheese curds are tiny.
If you enjoy 3 hours of your life gone to get 4 fish fry’s then go for it, otherwise stay away. And this is the polite version!
We went to whiskey river last night for dinner and drinks, we had heard the food was good had never been there before and wanted to try it. We sat at the bar for 25 minutes.. bartender was on her phone texting, yelling at other customers that had come in, served the regulars and never acknowledged that we were sitting at the bar, even after one of the other customers had pointed it out to her. Terrible service will never go back.
