Good time for my kids. however, we were there for a birthday party and I have very strict dietary restrictions. they would not give me a regular menu to look at as it's their policy that big parties can't over off the regular menu. I was pretty much told that I can eat the chicken breast off the kids menu on the large party menu. I got no choice. they did offer me the gluten free menu, but that's not part if my dietary restrictions. no accommodations were made for my restrictive diet due to their "strict policy".
Had a great spontaneous day in the recently rearranged arcade with our 9 year old! Arcade side everything was top notch. We paused for dinner and that side was disappointing. Took 15 minutes to seat the three of us in a nearly empty dining room. After we were seated it was puzzling to see about 15 employees who were mostly interested in talking with each other, including some pausing to eat and drink themselves. Food was quick and above average so that was nice. 45 minutes and we only saw our waiter 3 times, we couldn't even get a refill or order additional drinks. Again plenty of nice employees on the floor but none seemed interested in working though. Even so, all employees were very friendly. Won't stop us from going back, but will think twice about dining there.
Great place to take the kids! Pizza was delicious and our server was friendly. So many different games for all age groups. Prices where decent.
Had a great time kids loved it and food was good ? went on a Tuesday so kiddos got to play lots of games (discount Tuesday ) and there also for us adults to have a little drink ? ?
I give this craphole a four star rating for the simple fact that it has an outdoor patio on the bank of the river and is the best spot to go chill out during the summer evenings while having a few drinks with either yourself or someone wbontagged along . Other than that there's nothing special about the place . The food is average . The service is adequate and the over all atmosphere is however you wanna take it. As for me I'll he out on the patio by the river ja img a few drinks to help me unwind after a long day of being busy .
Despite having lost the reservation for my 14 yo son's laser tag birthday party ?, I *still* rate this place a 5! Jodi was great at planning the party (even though she missed sharing the plan with the team). They were extremely accommodating when we got there, given they were totally taken off guard by the group of anxious teenagers. Philip, our server, was very attentive and kind throughout our visit. The pizza was better than any pizza I've ever had at a kids party! And the arcade games and laser tag were super fun for the kids. It's a big enough place where I wouldn't take a group of younger kids for a party, but for 12 and up, I doubt we'll celebrate any other place ever again. (Assuming their food and service maintains the high level it was at when we were there.)
A great addition to Wausau! Our kids (5 & 7) love WOW & always have fun there. It is noisy but what do you expect out of kids having fun. Most of the games are a $1. Food is great & priced right for the area. You can easily spend $100 between games & food for a family of 4 so plan accordingly ?.
Great place! Good drinks, good food, and a wonderful location. It's located next to a walking trail that takes you on the river walk. Great to do after dinner. Or you could have fun at a pretty sizeable arcade.
Just a great time! I brought my boys (early to mid teens). It was an entertaining and social break from the peaceful solitude of the nearby slopes at Granite Peak. We all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The menu offered a variety of choices ranging from bar and comfort foods to pizzas, as well as more at down offering and salads. There were styles of food including Asian, Italian, American, Mexican, and German to name a few. There were quite a few arcade games, many based on winning tickets to redeem for prizes. There is a decent-sized bar. What's cool about the bar is that the upper part of the bar is completely suspended by cables from the ceiling. The arcade and wait staff were super nice and friendly, sometimes bordering on saintly as they toiled under the blinking lights, chaos, and repetitive "ding ding ding, oOoOO, and laughter and tantrums" of places with a multitude of kids.
Multiple games broken, and what the heck did they do to the prize room? Such a limited selection now. Bring the larger room back, please. They were open until 9, but at 7pm we wanted to order a pizza and they said they were backed up until closing and not prepping any more food. Overall very disappointed. Used to be an awesome place, but has gone downhill lately.Edit: to the owner - I understand these are tough times, however that does not make my experience any better, thus the critical review. I hope you are able to find good staff to help customers in the future and that you pay them well, as we did end up spending quite a bit of money here at the arcade despite not being able to eat or find anything we wanted on the prize wall.
