The food was a tad on the salty side but very good overall
Sandra was an excellent waitress, attentive to all our needs and pleasantly social. All of the food had amazing flavor and was delivered with good timing. The only thing Iâm sad about was I forgot to order a side of spoonbread, but thatâs all on me. So, I guess we will just have to head back soon.
Always a lovely evening out and excellent experience. Just a couple of comments about last evening and a visit about a week ago. I was so happy to see the lobster roll and enjoyed it, but I have a suggestion. The bread should be buttered and toasted. The bread turns soggy and less appetizing when not toasted. Toasting also adds some great flavor. Last eveningâs experience again lovely, but Chopped way too heavy on the dressing. Greens were soggy. Maybe serve on the side. Thanks for the opportunity to share.

We loved everything about Van Acre! Food was fantastic and our waiter Shawn was outstanding!! We will go there again when we are back in Wausau! Excellent!
We were celebrating a birthday and did state that in our reservation. We were greeted with a Birthday card and birthday wishes from everyone from the hostess to the bartender as well as our server. Great job!
From reviews we were excited to go however it was a mediocre hotel restaurant. Good cheese curds but smoked plate was just weird. (Salmon fishy potato salad too chunky bread just tasted burnt.) Margarita pizza was ok but didnât like the sweet balsamic vinegar all over it. Peach cobbler was awful, full of strings and peel. Service was very slow but cordial. Restaurant was clean and pretty.
What an awesome experience. We were here for our 35th wedding anniversary. The staff was very pleasant, the food was amazing and the decor was pleasant. Wausau really needs a place like this establishment. We will definitely be back and this will be our new recommendation to those who ask about a good place to eat.
In town for work, was recommended by a local doctor. Good food, would recommend!
