Terrible fries, just ok sandwich
There were seven of us, we all ordered something different. Even the liver and onions! Some had drinks. Everyone loved their food. I had the tuna melt which I haven't had for a long time and it was delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was excellent! It's a small casual place, and good. I know they cater as well and someone who I know used them as caterers was always pleased.
Julie from Mint Cafe was fantastic to work with for our wedding. Instead of trying to up-sell us, she made genuine recommendations based on what our wants were. She was quick to respond and very thorough in her communication. For example, I was asking her last-minute dietary questions for guests, and she responded quickly with great detail. On the wedding day she arrived on time, had plenty of food, and it tasted great. She saved the day for us, because our wedding cake was supposed to be pre-cut when it arrived, but it wasn't. She told us not to worry about it, and she would take care of it. Just amazing.

Incredibly fast service, such a nice little historical cafe serving food since the 1880s.The biscuit and gravy was not too good, but sunny side up eggs , hash brown, and bagel breakfast sandwich was pretty good.Didn't expect too much , just happy we got to try it.
Excellent place for lunch. A menu which has something for everyone. The 4 of us each had something different and every meal was superb. Save room for a dessert. Server was friendly and food came quickly.
Food and service is always great. I have only been to The Mint for dinner. Just enough food that I can still order dessert. You can enjoy shakes, malts, floats or an adult beverage. This trip we enjoyed burgers but can't wait to go back to try some other items on the menu.

Been here several times now and each time the service and food has been amazing. I am a huge fan of the pesto portabella mushroom sandwich. By far my favorite place to stop when in Wausau!
