I hadn’t been to an ihop in at least a decade. I was excited. I ordered the lemon ricotta crepes and hubby had blueberry French toast. Our waiter I believe was Drewmont. That’s what it said on our receipt. He was so polite! Yes ma’am and so forth. Definitely raised right. He seemed new but was just the right amount of attentiveness and basically remembered every little request. I was so impressed by him. Definitely a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn. I hope he never loses that. He was a star!We got our items and not as hot as I’d hoped but it was good. Crepes weren’t overly sweet which I loved. I left in a great mood. Good food (pay attention to temp) and definitely great service.
I will preface this by saying I have never left any place of business a one-star review in my life up until now. Went there at 5:30pm for dinner, there was ONE other table of people in the restaurant. Waited at least 5 minutes to be seated and was just about to leave before we were seated at a dirty table with food and silverware on the floor beneath us. Our kids’ orders were wrong, when we told the waitress she said “just so you know, I’m not the cook, so it’s not my fault.” One kid’s meal never got its side. Our family of four never got a refill or checked on once during our meal; our food was silently handed to us and then she walked away and never came back. We will never be going here again - save yourself the time and money and go grab food at one of the many other Rib Mountain restaurants.

Sat down ordered right away. Literally still waiting on our order that some how got overlooked. Just as we were about to complain they came by to let us know our order is just now being made. At the same time the waiters are on the other side doing absolutely nothing. Absolutely awful first time experience. I recommend burger King just next store.
Food was good. I ordered the bacon temptation omelette with pancakes. The food came quickly and was hot and fresh. Service was good as well. The only negative was they put the pancakes on such a small plate it made a mess putting syrup on them. Surely they have bigger plates to put them on ?so I deducted stars for someone not thinking clearly on the pancake situation
Wausau IHOP is the closest IHOP to my home after an hour drive my family and I walked into restaurant that was dirty long wait to be seated to a table that was empty the whole time we waited to be seated. While waiting seen a cook eat food while cooking didn't change his gloves after he put whatever into his mouth. Than was seated to a very dirty table and floor with food, paper, ect.. Had to ask for silverware. Waited 30 minutes for food than had to ask three times for the toast that should of been served with my mine not once I was done eating. NO apology was offered nor anything else for the trouble/nonservice of food correctly. Would never recommend this IHOP to anyone.
The goal who waited on us, also was the hostess, waitress and bus girl. She handled herself very well covering all her duties! She made the visit enjoyable!
Store was dirty food and garbage on the floor while staff standing around. long wait with no communication for the staff. Seen cook eating while cooking not changing his glove after he put whatever in his mouth. Had to ask for silverware, waited over 20 minutes for food and than had to ask three times for the toast that came with my meal. No apology nothing for the poor service we received after driving an hour just to go to IHOP for the first time.
First of all, let me say we were cold, hungry, and they were not busy when we were seated. Order taken promptly, while waiting had to wave down our waitress as she walked by our table and ask for a coffee refill. Kitchen ran way ahead of the (slow) wait staff, food sat under the "warmer" way too long, omelette was barely warm and lukewarm pancakes?!?. It's IHOP, its PANCAKES and they couldn't get that right at this place. Left a mercy tip
I forgot what I ordered, frankly because I will probably never order it again. Ava was my server, she was rude & snarky & we've seen her maybe twice in the hour that we were there(when we ordered & when we paid to leave). Didnt get any water refills when she did come to our table so I was thirsty & hungry right before leaving. Avocados were rotten, tomatoes were also.. Sandwich was not put together nicely. The only edible thing was the hashbrowns. Ihop usually does a better job, but since the place got bought out it has been going downhill. I'm finding myself eating here less and less :(
