I guess I caught them on a bad night. I read reviews of “fantastic cocktails”??? Mine was overpriced with almost no alcohol in it. Also, the bartender assured me she knew how to make an old fashioned, it was the worst I’ve had in a long long time. Food was ok, not great and the sea bass I read about on other reviews and planned to order was no longer on the menu. Very disappointing all the way around.
Food was above par. Had the chicken parmesan, an easy item to overlook... breading/Parm ratio was dead on; nice thick chicken too! The chef had me try his rendition of a New Orleans beignet...also very good, and I've been to NOLA many times.Bar staff were pleasant and personable. I had some very nice conversation and as I was traveling by myself it made for a very enjoyable evening.Thanks Guys!!
went to city grill while at the jefferson street inn, loved it! had some really good eats. only fly is price, a bit on the expensive side but worth it.
The new executive Chef Patrick has got something fantastic going on here! Just had the baked cod and ribeye last night, the cod was so perfectly cooked I couldn't believe it, absolutely perfect! Most places in the area overcook their baked fish, looking forward for more! Ribeye was full of flavor and very tender, a perfectly cooked medium rare.
Very very limited menu right now. Remodel is great! Was just expecting a full menu! Pricey.
The server came to get our drink order (rudely) and 20 minutes later still never came to take our food order. There was only 5 other tables and 2 other servers working so being short staffed or busy couldn't be an excuse. I was also very disappointed that the menu online is not the same menu as you get in person.
a bit too late to sit at a table so they offered a seat at the bar. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the food, drink and atmosphere.

Prime rib wasn’t too good. Served cold to the touch, the center was colder than room temp. Ordered in medium well. Got medium rare. Asked to have it cooked twice. Seemed microwaved. Came back every 45 seconds. Left that microwaved raw meat after taste. My french onion soup was salty and left a sour after taste.
Great staff, beautiful atmosphere, and delicious food.
