This is a decent little restaurant tucked away out of town, they offer Mexican and American fare. The food is good, they have created a nice atmosphere in the bar and dining room. We had a larger party, space wise we had to break up into separate tables, not my fave, but doable. Our server was busy, but friendly. Over all a good experience.
Great little Mexican restaurant with large portions that can feed the largest of men, as well as some good drinks in the bar, there speciality is the chimichangas which are very good and definitely worth a try
If you are in Wausau, how lucky are you? You have the opportunity to bite into and savor the BEST chimis on the planet. Huge, crispy shelled, filled with tender delicious meat, sour cream, topped with melted wisco cheese and crisp lettuce. Have a look at the wild side of your appetite and enjoy it being satisfied! Try one once and you will go back for more! I am partial to the shredded beef, but there are many choices including VEGETARIAN style.
I didn't get food, grill closed at 9pm. Had a few drinks at the bar. Bartender was friendly.
Amazing service and food ?
Stopped at this place Friday evening because it was recommended by a local. Soon as we sat down, we asked for a drink menu, the waitress said they do not provide a drink menu. Asked about flavors of margaritas and waitress said she couldn’t remember. How can you expect customers to order if they don’t have a menu or staff doesn’t know what drinks are carried? We asked about the temperature in the restaurant because it was very warm and the waitress said she’d have to reach over us to turn on the AC. Yes that’s how dated this place is, they have 2 wall units in the dining area that were not on at all. To me central air or a better system should be in place rather than blowing whatever comes out of that dusty unit onto peoples tables and food. As far as the food, portion size was good. The chicken quesadilla was over salted though and took away from the flavor of the dish. Wouldn’t come back here.
Enjoyed cocktails and dinner with Family last night at Chico’s. An establishment that’s been around forever. Chris the bartender was amazing and our waitress was very attentive. We will be back
