Amazing menu options. Outstanding service. All the entrees in our group were excellent. Good cocktails. Would definitely return when in the area.

I really wanted to try this place after reading the many great reviews. Whe we first got there I was impressed by the rail car entrance. When we were brought back to our table I had my first disappointment. Our seating wasn't in the rail car like I first though but a building built off the rail car facade. The main dining area appeared dated and a bit drab.We orderer our meals expecing something exceptional but again were disappointed by the mediocre meal. My party of 3 ordered the ribeye steak special, chicken kiev, and the salmon. Only the salmon was rated very good and the rest were meh. I really wanted to like this place but for the price I have had much better food elsewhere. Curiosity sated I have struck the Silver Coach as a place to go for food.

Great food & ServiceThis place is unique inside and well cared for. We had the evening special Porterhouse Steak & it was superb, served with onion, mushrooms & burgundy sauce. It was perfectly cooked. Also of course had their Crawfish balls as an appetizer which are always a must have. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food served.

Came early on a Saturday Eve & ordered their Porterhouse Special...So tender & full of flavor I would definitely order it again ,prepared perfect medium rare !!!!! Our server suggested it & did a wonderful job informing us about the other specials too. Of course we HAD to have their delicious crawfish balls as an appetizer. Everything was top notch & we felt the prices were more than fair for the quality of the food.

The food was great. I got the fried vegetables, a Ceasars salad and the mahi-mahi special. It tasted amazing. The atmosphere is amazing and the entry way looks amazing. The server Sydney was terrific at her job. Super bubbly and professional. The chef was also friendly. Would highly recommend a stop. There is also artwork throughout and a cool looking bar.

It looks like a old railroad car on the outside. It’s gorgeous inside. It has 2 unique 2 small private rooms with just a 2 person table in both of them. A very nice dining room also. The owner( also the chef) is super friendly, his staff is as well.

Stopped in for a drink ,when they were opening for the day, just to check it out with friends. We are from out of town and already had plans to eat elsewhere. The owner (bartender) was really friendly and let us check out the space. Very cool place, and good drinks! One of the servers (also super friendly) asked if we wanted an appetizer and suggested the crawfish balls. They were really good. We will all be back for dinner sometime soon. I can’t wait to try more from the menu.

My only criticism is that the music overhead on a Saturday night was a local country radio station . You might want to consider a non radio station more neutral music selection for your Saturday evening dinner patrons .

We use to visit Silver Coach once a month or two between 2005-2018 as our “fancy” dining choice in town but with newer options available we stopped going as often. We haven’t been there in years and thought it would be fun to go back to see what’s changed. We sat at the bar to order drinks first and it was like we were inconveniencing the staff. We were asked no less than 5 times over the course of 1 drink if we were ready to be seated. A server even came to the bar area and announced loudly “I’m ready for a table now”. Finally we decided to go to our table but no one asked to carry our bottle of wrong or glasses we had from the bar as we had our coats. This place was lost in time and not in a good way. The decor is exactly the same with the local paintings on the wall but none of them were straight (my wife actually couldn’t stand it and straightened several of them as we were placed in our own back room while the rest of the front area was bustling with people (and had room for us). The wall paper is peeling off and the vinyl table covers are the same as we remember from 2005. Now to dinner. Our server seemed nice to start but we barely saw her the rest of the evening. We had plates stacking up from our appetizer, she dropped our salads without clearing anything and never checked if we wanted another drink (we didn’t have anything to drink after our salads came). The menu is exactly the same as it was in 2005 but the prices were up 80%. My wife’s seafood jambalaya was actually really good but my NY strip which was ordered medium rare came out medium well and for a $45 steak that matters. But no server came by and I wasn’t going to have my wife wait for me to get a new one. To top it off one of the things we remember and enjoyed was the roasted garlic with the dinner roles but we noticed it never came. When we asked about it our server said she didn’t think about it and brought it after we already had finished our entrees. I won’t even comment on some of the other service we noticed other diners experience that night. All in all we’re sad to say we won’t be going back to Silver Coach again. It’s too bad they couldn’t transform with the times as my wife and I have extremely fond memories of that place. I wish we would have left it at the memories instead of what we went through our final visit.

Very neat place, got to have dinner in the private train car. Very delicious steaks, and baked potatoes.
