Well it’s a Perkins. Mediocre food, but at a decent price. Staff the day I came in was a little awkward, but still nice and attentive.
Amazing restaurant! Super friendly and attentive staff. The food was on point. I normally get bloated from any food I eat but this food was so well made I felt great. Will definitely go again on my next trip through there.
Poor service. Super slow. Had to get our own silverware. Brought pancakes out for one person and no one else got their food for 20 minutes.
Have only been once but great skillets, service was excellent and the cost, which is hard to do these days, was fair.
In reality, our visit probably doesn't even garner a three-star rating. The desserts we had deserve a 4-star rating, they were all delicious!! The service was beyond slow. BEYOND!! We were there for an hour and a half and we had nothing more than pie for three people. Getting seated took about 10 minutes, should've been our first clue. We got drinks fairly fast but it was another 10 or 15 minutes to order. Our pie took 15-20 minutes, way too long. And even though our credit card was on the table, all our food was gone, and our coats were on, the server passed our table to take the order at another table and they were taking so long screwing around while ordering that she sat down. The server was nice but she clearly needs direction in order of operation.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious, this is a staple of Stevens point. The prices are fair for the amount of food you get, good service
My father and I had dinner there. I had meatloaf, and my father had his standard breakfast for dinner. It was a quiet dinner time. The service was fast, and the food was excellent. The banana cream pie was the best part of my meal. Peter, their long-time server, was personable and always one step ahead.
Waited a very long time for food after ordering. (40+ minutes) When food arrived it was cold. Server was very nice. We could tell that he was frustrated with the slow kitchen. There were only 8 tables seated at the time. 19 people total in the restaurant at the time.
As much as I love this Perkins, it has gone downhill fast. My girlfriend and I have been regulars here for a while. We always show up around 10/11pm for a late night date. Last weekend, they were completely shut down Saturday and Sunday night. Lately, we’ve been super disappointed, the last two nights we were turned away at 10:00-11 due to them closing at 12 and telling us that they closed the dining room an hour-hour and a half early. Very disappointed in their service lately. like I get it, I used to work food industry and know how much it stinks to close and have to stay but closing 1-2 hours early is just unfair to the customers.
