This place is awesome! We were visiting from Chicagoland and decided to venture off blue Harbor property and find some good, local food and we were SO happy with this place! We had the fried bluegill and it was absolutely perfectly prepared. Kids enjoyed their meals. My husband's old fashioned was delicious and only $3.50! We could see deer from our table through the window. It was truly wonderful start to finish and the staff was delightful. Everyone in the place was happy, comfortable and well taken care of. It's a gem!!!!
We had dinner there tonight and I can’t begin to rave enough about our families experience! From the fact we walked in off the street without reservation and being able to squeeze us in, the kid friendliness of the staff, to the amazing food/ service/ and ambiance it was a definite 10 of 10….. believe me when I say that my 10 year old daughter hasn’t given me 2 thumbs up about a new restaurant to her in a LONG time……… Thanks for a great experience! We will be back!!!!!!!
Number one their food is fantastic number two their drink prices are very reasonable I had the broasted chicken with broasted potatoes and coleslaw, everything was wonderful and I had blind Russian which is vodka, Kahlua, and Baileys Irish Cream and it was very good, I would highly recommend this place and I would highly recommend making your reservation by Wednesday for the weekend because they fill up fast.
The food was excellent. Staff was very friendly and prompt. I had the porterhouse cooked rare and it was cooked perfect. Nit a big place so it fill up fast, recommend reservations. Would definitely go back.
Visited for the first time. Everything was delicious! Service was prompt and friendly! The restaurant sits in a perfect wooded setting. Will definitely be back when in the area!!
A little hidden homestyle gem worthy of its reputation. Great service, good food (steaks), and overall small town vibe. 1hr seat time and no Amex accepted are considerations, but otherwise fantastic.
Call ahead for reservations. Cozy restaurant like being "up north". Good drinks, friendly staff, nice customers. Good meals at a reasonable price.
Fantastic night! Great food and drink! Delicious home made desserts too! The atmosphere is something to be seen by everyone! Makes you feel at home with great nature views. You can watch the birds and the deer just outside the windows!
It was a Friday during lent so we sought out a Fish Fry while staying in the area 2 months ago.Yelp reviews directed us here and glad they did!!We posted up at the bar and had a few Wisconsin Old Fashioned’s and after a 20 minute wait, our table was ready.I will say everyone was friendly and while it’s filled with locals, alcohol brings everyone together!The perch fish fry was amazing as was the server and it was a nice portion served which was 2 large pieces and fries.I’m not sure we’ll be back in this neck of the woods anytime soon but I would come back here for sure!Some parking available but a tip here. For an after dinner drink at the bar, get a Dirty Girl Scout. It’s the perfect after dinner drink.
