Loved this resort & water park! Rooms are large & spacious for a family of 4. Been to other water parks, but loved this one b/c it was limited to hotel guests only, so not crowded at all. Was also there for a family wedding. Wedding amenities, service, & food were excellent. Definitely plan on staying at this resort again!

When I arrived it looked like a castle ?!Such a nice structure, navy color patterns, and windows that allow natural light come throughout the lobby!Dreamy? The bedroom had a chimney and a living room, so inviting.I felt so much at peace there, I was able to rest and forget about everything and everyone. The noise is minimal even during day hours. The service is very professional and polite, never felt discriminated or neglected.Thank you, BHR!I didn't try the restaurant inside the resort or the water park, not even the pool; but they all look good for a good time. They also have a mini golf course, I wish I had more time...The views are to die for, especially with the fog, I felt like if I was part of a story book ?The thing that impressed me the most was how fast the hot water comes out, two seconds and you are ready for a calming shower/bath, love it!It's a place for families, for people that wants to get away from it all, for people that wants to see lake Michigan while enjoying an ice cream from a chair I recommend it.Pricey but worth it ?

The resort has nice views of Lake Michigan, and thr staff was great - especially at dinner. The food was just right.Unfortunately I found several short curly hairs in the bedding, which was disappointing. They did replace the sheets upon request though. It was a good place for a business trip overall.

Large villas with 2 levels have difficult time maintaining a comfortable temperature on both levels Restaurant food was sub par at best. Security guy was extremely rude and hostile to guests. Pool manager was also quite curt to guests. Maybe a customer relations seminar is in order for staff??? We've been coming here for 10+ years and this was a real disappointing experience.

When you log onto the website on a laptop there is a huge red button “Book Now” and be sure you do not miss the thin blue band telling you to check that the amenities are open on the dates you are reserving. We made the mistake of booking a stay with our grandchildren during a “closed” time and they charged us 25$ to cancel the reservation even though it was within 48 hours. I sent an email to them asking to have that refunded and never heard anything by phone or email (and yes I checked my spam folder). 25$ isn’t much money but it’s the principle of it. We have booked here before along with other family members but we all agree we aren’t returning-EVER. Which is fine since the reviews just get worse and worse.

Our extended family of 13 stayed for 2 nights in a lakefront 4 bedroom villa. It was immaculately clean and very well equipped. The grandchildren had a ball at the water park and on the beach. The evening bonfire was fun, we were glad we brought ingredients for s'mores. Our only disappointment was with the breakfast buffet with its high price and limited selection. Lifeguards at the water park were very vigilant, servers at breakfast were pleasant and attentive, front desk employee welcomed us warmly at check in but I felt the employee at checkout was rather snippy.

GOOD: We stayed in one of the 2-bedroom villas and it was the perfect size for 8 people. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary so were looking for something very special. We got it on Thursday night with excellent live entertainment on the resort patio. The bar prices were reasonably priced and the service top-notch. The highlight of our visit was the water park. Plenty of fun for both kids and adults and lots of seating for those who just wanted to relax. The lifeguards were EXCEPTIONAL! - attentive, alert and constantly on the move looking out for guests' safety. I can't praise them enough. BAD: (Maybe not BAD, but less than good). There was no king size bed as promoted for a 2-bedroom villa. The bunk beds had totally inadequate bedding on them. The sheets barely reached the edge of the mattresses and the blankets were even smaller. The toaster didn't work although guest services sent over a replacement right away. The top of the tiny coffee pot fell off every time you poured from it. It was certainly convenient to have a dryer in the unit, but it didn't keep running through a whole cycle so had to be monitored constantly. The pull-out couch hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. We found a dental pick, 1/2 a lifesaver and a BULLET when we opened it. Not something you expect to find in a nice resort. All of this could have been overlooked were it not for what comes next. UGLY: We are pretty easygoing vacationers but our "neighbors" in the villas really ruined the weekend for us. Management, for some unknown reason, placed our family in the middle of a huge family reunion that took up multiple villas. The 10:00 "no-noise curfew" apparently didn't apply to them. Well past midnight, they were throwing fireworks from the second floor balconies, running up and down the stairs and slamming doors, playing beer pong on the lawn (for which they took the patio table and chairs from our unit), playing music loudly, throwing garbage on the ground, etc., etc., etc. My son, who was trying to sleep in the living room (closest to all the noise), asked them twice to quiet down yet the rowdiness continued. We complained the next day at reception and were told that this particular group of people came every year for their family reunion. I guess this means that if you spend enough money with the resort, the rules don't apply to you. Our special celebration was now "less than" what we'd looked forward to. My son left a day early after not getting any sleep and the memories of our stay at Blue Harbor Resort will always be tempered by the UGLY.

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Harbor! The resort is very clean and the rooms were spacious. The views on the lake side of the resort were amazing! Worth every penny to be facing the lake. The water park was fantastic. Our kids (ages 12 and 9) had so much fun and the adults did too! We rode waterslides, the lazy river, the surfing simulator and we really loved the basketball hoops in the pools. The water park including the locker rooms was very clean and well cared for. The staff at Blue Harbor were very nice and friendly. We noticed several staff members enjoying themselves with co-workers when they were off their shift and we found that very appealing. If everyone who's there loves the place, then they're very likely to take good care of it! The beach was a little bit of a disappointment - the sand was filled with small dead fish and the water was freezing. It would be worth it for the resort to have an agreement with the city to rake and clean the beach. Overall, we highly recommend Blue Harbor!

It was my 1st time going and let me tell you all, it was a smooth vacation spot for sure and enjoyed every minute of me staying there. The indoor pool was amazing and warm, the arcade was fun but more or less for children. Overall I loved it 9/10 would recommend.

Mostly clean and comfortable rooms! Rooms felt dated without feeling dirty, which is an accomplishment. The water park was clean and well organized, everyone had fun. We also enjoyed some time in the arcade. We have been to several Great Wolf Lodges and much preferred our experience at Blue Harbor. Appreciated how quiet the rooms and halls were even with all of the families staying at the resort. The only downfalls were that the food prices were very high (to be expected) and the water park didn’t open until 10am (which was late for littles who are up early and nap early).
