I ordered Buffalo wings in the drive through. The sauce got everywhere - in the bottom of the bag and all over everything else in the bag. It wasn’t until a week later that I discovered the sauce also got on a towel in my car. They basically just poured sauce all over the wings in the takeout container. That is not how you make Buffalo wings! It was a ridiculous mess. Ridiculous!!!
Been to The Dish many times and everything has always been good. Not this time, I took a gamble and ordered the NY Strip special for 16.99. I ordered it medium rare. It came very well done. I tried a bite but just couldn’t do it, so they made me a new one. The new one was medium well-well done. Unless you like overcooked well done steak, DO NOT ORDER THE STEAK! For whatever reason, they aren’t able to cook steaks less than well done! For the price, they should be able to figure this out. Also, my “buttered corn” side contained no butter. For a $24 meal (after adding a salad and drink) the best part about it was the salad. SUPER DISAPPOINTED!
Ordered Mother’s Day breakfast. We ordered two Steak and Eggs. Very over cooked,no flavor,lots of fat and grizzle!!! Very unhappy with it!!!!
Maybe because it was late in the afternoon but brunch line looked rough. Paying up front for this meal I wasn't aware of otherwise I would have passed on here. What food I did get , the baked and fried chicken was bland. The deserts wasn't any better, sugar cookies, tiny muffins and it look like there was cake but I didn't see any. So I paid $100 for 3 adults for brunch and 1 wine, next time I'll research the place my wife picks. Nothing about her choice we just didn't want to cook this year.
The eggs or should I say egg crumbles had no flavor. That’s what happens when you use water in them. They just sat in a butter/ water mixture with no flavor. The bacon was nice and meaty but also no flavor. The chicken was good. Mac & cheese cold. I have been here many times when I worked in Racine and it has alway been really good food. But I have to say the brunch is not worth the money at all. I do t mind paying for a good brunch as long as the food is hot and good. And you had to pay extra for an orange juice. And the employees just seemed like you were bothering them. Did seem like the enjoyed being there.
Had never been here before. First experience was great! Had breakfast. Went back a few days later to try more lunch items. Great. Good food. Good atmosphere. Good service.
This restaurant sucks , if you’ve ever been a caregiver you’d know the demographic and the food is that of a nursing home. I gave it 2 stars because although the food is SUB PAR the ambiance is pleasant, it’s moderately quiet , the staff works well together and anytime I’ve gone the bathrooms were clean. The food is just not delectable in the slightest.
We really enjoy the sandwiches, but tonight, the kids meals looked and tasted like they had been cooked prior to our order coming in and were thus soggy and unappetizing. The fish was decent but the side of macaroni and cheese tasted of spoiled milk.
I absolutely love their pot roast! I usually get the family meal and have a lot left over for lunch the next day. I decided this year to also have them cater my family Christmas gathering too and it was delicious!
Been eating at The dish since they opened. Always good food and service but lately service and quality of food has gone down. Ordered delivery and order was wrong and missing food. They tried to blame delivery service but they are the one who packed the order. Today ate breakfast and the hash browns were burnt one the bottom. I like them crispy but they were black under with good hash browns on top. Eggs were not cooked like I asked for.
