We were staying at the marina, so we had lunch and mid-afternoon drinks here on two separate visits. Lots of choices on the menu -- try out the margarita flights if you want to sample multiple flavors!
Came Friday and sat at the bar booths. It was extremely hot in the restaurant. They didn’t have numerous beers my husband tried to order but our server Danielle recommended her favorite and my husband loved it. Food was good…..service was excellent my waitress was the BEST!!!! We’ve had her at other restaurants too and loved her there as well! Will definitely be back!!!
Location is key and the sad thing about this experience was the weather. Between fog and then the rain I was really hoping for a fun experience.We were here for a graduation dinner. I understand not every meal can be a home run and this dinner was visually better than the meal. Our group of 6 had issues with their dinner of choice.'Under cooked' was the issue with meal. Even my baked potato needed to be baked afew more minutes.Besides that, u can't beat the atmosphere. A very contemporary establishment. My pull pork sandwich needed alot of sauce to make it average tasting.The staff with the black t-shirts with the letter 'Z' quickly made me think of today's never ending war. Nothing earth shattering here.
The view and the place are great. Most of their plates are pretty good. In terms of their BBQ, it's terrible. I'm a BBQ guy and know how to smoke. I had the brisket and ribs combo. No smoke line in both no bark, I'm pretty sure the ribs were baked. Then touched with smoke, it was very odd. As for the brisket it was very dry. I think the batch it and microwave to order as it was very steamy on the plate, not fresh kinda steam. It was just off. They need to improve their process with some quality control. Don't offer BBQ if you can't respect the process. Otherwise this place is good for general dining.
The location on the waterway was just beautiful. Picturesque with boats and tranquility. The Mac and cheese was wonderful with Wisconsin’s best cheeses. The fish and chips was fried to perfection with a light batter. The portions are enormous and everything was served hot. I’d go back again.
Very not busy week night (Thursday about 4:45). The lake perch was extremely overcooked and dry with a breading that was way too thick, more like a batter. The French fries were also overcooked. The rye bread was dry and stale. The only bright spot was the coleslaw, which was delicious. Even the Miller Genuine Draft bottle was stale, warm, and tasted off like it was old and skunky. Our server seemed very overwhelmed for the very few number of customers they actually had. We would think twice about returning.
This place was AMAZING. The food and portions...out of this WORLD. Service...top tier! Our server Justin was EXCEPTIONAL. DEFINITELY recommend!
Reefpoint is our favorite restaurant! We always enjoy our food and the location is great. They have an excellent wait staff. Even when they are super busy, we have never had to wait long for our food. I have been there for an event as well and their back room is a great place to host an event.
Absolutely phenomenal restaurant. Stunning views and the food is amazing! Drinks are incredible as well. Friendly staff, best restaurant around by far!
Update: An actual owner reached out to me via messenger. I lost the message but would like to follow up with her. It appears that someone is concerned a out the operation of the establishment. From what I understand, they're in the process of searching for a new GM. I'm happy to say that as far as I'm concerned any issue I had is resolved as it has been acknowledged by a person in management or an owner. I changed me review from 1 star to 5 for that alone. I own a service business and don't put out 1 star reviews unless I cannot resolve an issue with a person in charge. To the owner: Please feel free to message me back for further details.
