We had good experiences at Joey's, even for carry out during the pandemic. Fish fry and French fries carried out well! Lately it seems things are going down hill. This last meal both of our hamburgers were WAY overcooked. Service was fine, sweet potato fries were great. Beer selection is limited, but can find a decent beer. The meal before this one was fish fry at the restaurant a few months back - greasy fish and undercooked fries. Disappointed as I know they can do better.
We have read good things about Yardarm so when I received a gift certificate it was a sign we should definitely go. Small little place with decent menu choices. The only good thing about our meal was the sand dollar appetizer. My tuna was clearly frozen and not fresh. I asked for rare and it was dry. My parents walleye was also dry. My wife said her chicken was just a chicken breast with a slice of cheese on it. Go to Reefpoint Brewhouse instead.
I ordered take out on a busy Friday night and they messed up my order a bit. I'm giving them 5 stars because they were apologetic and more than made up for it with a smore pie and an extra cup of chowder. The New England clam chowder was some of the best I've had with big chunks of clam meat. The smore pie perfect. I look forward to going back soon.
Lobster grilled cheese was yummy. Picture is Lobster BLT which was also yummy.
Good service. Great food and decent price. Went on a Saturday night, wasn’t too crowded, got to sit down right away. Had Cod fish fry and shrimp po boy as well as the cheese curds. All were delicious.
Great local place, fun and friendly staff with menu variety to please all. Red snapper special was quite tasty, just enough spice but not overwhelming. Fried oysters had right amount of crisp and not over-done on inside. Variety of sauces with fried cheese curds was delicious. But the service and very enjoyable staff made the experience even better. And special kudos to our bartender turned server, Jenn...thanks for a great experience offered to couple of out of towners passing thru! Will be sure to come back when we're back in the area!
The four of us had fish which was excellent! However service was extremely slow as there was a large group in the other room. We used our coupons from Saint Lucy's church bulletin! We will definitely be going back!
awesome place, I grew up with the boys and always knew they had great ideas. I'd recommend Joey's Yardarm all day everyday. and I'm a picky eater and my husband is a Exceutive Chef and has been for 30 plus years. and we live in oak creek but came to Racine for the best of Everything. thank you so much for great food and excellent service..
Can't believe I've lived in Racine for 30 years and never went there, the food and atmosphere were great, and the service was good too. I had the New York Strip (rare), veggies, side salad, and french onion soup. The soup was great, the veggies were great, the soup was great...the side salad was mostly romaine, not much other veggies, but still it was fresh and it was pretty sizable. Ordered a couple whiskey old fashions (sour and sweet), and they were actually made pretty decently. Most of all, I ordered the steak rare, and it ACTUALLY came out rare....Like perfectly and evenly rare. It was the best rare steak I've ever seen. Ironically I only ordered rare because, like most places, you have to order a steak rare to get it to be medium rare haha. It wasn't too pricey either, 20$ for a 10oz, and it was a hearty 10oz, pretty thick, trimmed well. Good chance they actually gave me a 12oz or something instead.
Nice place. Great fish and fries. Tartar sauce is not good. Staff is very friendly. I'll be back repeatedly.
