First time here celebrating a birthday. Our table was ready, waitress was awesome and food was great. They were very busy which really helped them out considering the pandemic and how it hurt restaurants.
I will definitely be back! Food was great, service was fantastic. Tony was not only professional but FUN ;) We will be coming back often. Thank you to the whole crew for a wonderful experience.
Great Mexican food in Racine! Was in town attending an event and decided to try Javier’s. It was great! The atmosphere was very cute inside. The chips and salsa were delicious! I had the 2 item combo with a crunchy shredded chicken taco and a shredded beef burrito and my fiancé had a tres enchiladas meal. Both were great with fresh rice and beans. Our server Luke was very attentive and nice. We had a great meal and will definitely be back. If you’re craving some good Mexican food, give this family owned business a try!
We made a reservation through Google. That was a good thing. Our dinner was scheduled for a Friday night at seven (celebrating an anniversary) and the place was packed. Because of the way the dining room is constructed, it was very loud.The staff was young and seemed to lack experience. We weren't offered chips and salsa until our hostess noticed we were sitting there for ten minutes without. When it finally came, the salsa had a really good texture, but the flavor was lacking.Our food did come quickly, arrived nice and hot, and was beautifully presented. We both had combo plates--one ground beef taco, a beef burrito, a chimichanga, and a cheese enchilada with red sauce-- which we thought were a little pricey ($13.98 for two entree choices; $15.98 for three) compared to around $11 for three choices at comparable restaurants.The food was like the salsa: meh. The beans were bland and served without cheese; the rice was dry and had no vegetables. The chimichanga was crispy and cheesy and probably the best part of the meal. The other three items were unremarkable.Would I recommend Javier's? Not really. I'm so sad to say it was nothing special.

Every single time that I go out to eat, I always want a place that has a pulse. The restaurant needs to feel alive. That mood is exactly what I found at Javier's. Because of the amazing atmosphere, Javier's has become a favorite of my family and I. The food is fantastic, the service is impeccable, and there are no cleanliness issues. First, let me talk about the food. The food at Javier's is wonderful. I ordered the regular tacos and they were fantastic. My recommendation for the tacos is to ask for the spicy, green salsa and put that salsa on your tacos. It is a really flavorful combination! On top of the tacos, I also had their seasonal jalapeño clam chowder - it had to be the best clam chowder I have ever had. Every season (fall, winter, spring, summer) the type of soup changes. My Rating for this Category: 5/5 Next, the service. Whenever I come to Javier's I am never let down by the service. When the restaurant is busy, all of the staff are on their feet trying to make sure that everything runs smoothly and everyone is taken care of. With a full restaurant, with no reservation, my family and I were seated in about ten minutes. Our waitress was fabulous, and I enjoyed how she repeated our order back to us when writing it down so we knew that she heard our orders correctly. My Rating for this Category: 5/5 Finally is the cleanliness. Every single time that I have been to Javier's there has never been a cleanliness problem. All of the food was nice and hot if it needed to be, and there were no bugs in my food (I have had that happen before at other restaurants). None of the silverware or dishes were sticky. Everything looked pristine and cleaned! My Rating for this Category: 5/5 I will definitely be returning to Javier's. The vibe, the food, and the service all keep my family and I coming back for more. If you choose to eat here, make sure to keep into mind my tip about the green, spicy salsa on the tacos or whatever you are eating - it is a fantastic combination! Javier's has easily emerged as the best Mexican restaurant in Racine county.
Food was good as always. I was a little chilly today and decided to order the Clam Chowder which was a special. When I think of special I'm thinking ok it must be on sale today. Why did I get my bill and it stated the soup was $8.50 ??? Not happy at all.
Having never been to Racine finding a good restaurant can either be good or not.Our meals were excellent!! The Pork Chili Verde was spicy and oh so full of flavor!The wait staff great,our waiter Emilio so efficient and kind,Thank you all and God Bless your Hands for making great food
Excellent food. We both had their seafood burritos. Amazing and our waitress was great.
Our new go-to Mexican restaurant! The food was good (I had a steak special and my fiance had chicken enchiladas). The special was good and the enchiladas were the best we've ever had. What impressed me the most was our server, Jelena. I am a restaurant manager and wish I had 12 of her working for me. By far, the best service I've ever had anywhere! We will definitely be back!
