Love the retro atmosphere and the great customer service!
Make no mistakes while this is called Douglas Avenue Diner this is no greasy spoon. Generally when I come here it hostess seating wich normally dosen't take to long. It's decor is that of a classic diner. With decorations (example gas station signs, ads, pictures of Hollywood stars and singers. The menus selection is surprising with, for example items like a triple decor sandwich one that is very much like a BLT but with the addition of chicken and avocado. Often you don't even order off the menu becuse of new one day specials they come up with like Aztec Omelette. Often there are three breakfast and three lunch specials on a white board.
Breakfast. Eggs and hashbrowns were okay, bacon was near raw, and toast was burned and cold. I was charged 3.50 for a cup of coffee. Total bill for breakfast for one person was 13.66, plus 2.00 tip. This used to be a good restaurant; I won't be going back.
Went here for lunch for the 1st time yesterday and wondered what took me so long! Great (and hot) food, best gyro and chicken dumpling soup ever, fast, friendly and efficient service, extremely reasonably priced (!!!) and fun atmosphere. Kudos DAD! I'll definitely be back!!!!!
It's like an old fashioned family diner. Food is tasty and the prices aren't bad. Generally they're only open for breakfast and lunch.
Our service was awesome, like going out to eat 20 years ago, meaning the waitress was very caring. The food was great! The bill was $60 for 4 people. After 10am they serve breakfast and dinner. So good and so reasonable that we went Saturday and Sunday!
This use to be a good place to go, but not anymore! BEWARE......if you think about stopping, keep on driving. They have enbrassed price gouging as a phylosophy of doing business. Their pricing has gone off the charts and their menu is deceptive at best, dishonest at worst. No only do they charge $3.50 for a cup of coffee now but even though the menu says things like toast is included with a breakfast, and the waitress asks what kind of toast you would like, they charge extra for anything but white toast, we were charged $2.50 each for ordering sour dough toast, but not told about it in advance. When I questioned the charge we got a vert rude response from the owner. WILL PUT THIS PLACE ON OUR "NO GO" LIST. BE WARNED!
This use to be a favorite, but besides jacking prices they have gotten obnoxious and rude. They are charging extra for items you would expect to be included. Menue is very deceptive and owner is just rude.
They were a good place to go, but not anymore. Prices are getting out of line. COFFEE NOW $3.50, They are charging extra for things you would expect to be included without telling you in advance. Deceptive munue, all reason to avoid this place. Attitude of owner getting really nasty.. Portion sizes have been really cut
Great local dinner with a really cool decor! The staff is friendly, the menu is tasty, the pricing is reasonable and the restrooms are clean! So come to check out the food and then take some time to look over the decorations!
