Good food, nice grass and sand area for the kids to stretch their legs!
let's see, drinks were made wrong, had them remade, but made wrong again and with coconut that my friend had an allergic reaction to. Drinks only made right on the third try. (personally didn't like drink, no flavor) then my friend ordered tots and the kitchen messed up and put onion on and was unable to remake because they were out of tots....then the cook that made the mistake came out onto the patio and from about 30 ft away yelled out to my friend, "sorry I f*cked up!" I Seriously Do Not Recommend. I won't go back.
The good: the food was really tasty and the location is awesomeThe bad: everything else. The floor and tables were dirty, early in the day. The server was inattentive and slow. The music was cranked at 1 in the afternoon when nobody was trying to "party"
Ordered a medium well burger and it came out very pink in the center and dripping bright red blood making the bottom bun soggy. Had to send it back twice before getting a medium well burger. Also, it wasn't very busy at the restaurant, and we had poor service didn't see our waitress very often and didn't get drink refills when we needed them.
Dockside was always one of my favorite restaurants. We hadn’t been there for a while and thought we’d try it tonight. There was an excellent band playing and the weather was perfect. It took forever to get somebody to wait on our table and even longer to get our food. I had the coconut shrimp salad and it was honestly the worst salad I have ever had in my life. It was not edible. It was $16 and I just came home and ate an actual meal. My husband’s food was cold and had clearly been sitting for a while. I don’t know how anyone else feels, but dining out recently has been one disappointment after another. I feel like we went 25 years and never had something that I would ever think about complaining about. Recently, however, things have just been plain bad.
Normally this has been one of our favorite places to go. We bring our boat in and enjoy their patio bar and food. Tonight they last called at 630pm and food ceased to be served. Wait staff had been there all day without relief. Cooks quit. Some wait staff quit. Never saw anything quite like that. The wait staff were not at fault, this seemed to be a management issue. We did leave our wait person a generous tip for her efforts.
We made reservations. Get there and no one knows whats going on. Finally get seated and we get told by some guy that we are not at the right table. Blewhim off...Must have been an argument in the kitchen...before we knew 2 chefs walked out and shortly later so did the third. Luckly we got our food...felt bad for everyone else....Must be management issues.Our waitress was awesome. She did the best she could.
Last year the fish tacos were among the best in Oshkosh, however, the first time back this year they were quite disappointing. The individual components have changed to a lesser quality, which is okay, but not as great as they use to be.
My son took us there for dinner. We ordered 2 Pepsi’s and one Mt. Dew and got two Mt. Dew and one Pepsi, not a good start but decided to let it go. Then I ordered a Club Sandwich, my husband ordered fried haddock and my son ordered some fancy hamburger that was $17. He asked for it Med. it was well , had no taste what so ever and was comparable to a veggie burger. My husband got baked haddock and my club sandwich had no meat on it at all. It was a hoagie bun with cucumber, carrots, mushrooms, lettuce and tomato. When I asked the waitress about it not having any of the ham, bacon or turkey that should be on a club she said that this was their club and if I wanted she could take it back to the kitchen and they could throw some stuff on it. I told her to just forget it and take it away. She didn’t offer to do anything about the bill at all. My son took it to the manager. Won’t be going back there for food.
Great place for a drink and some good food. We had a made to order pizza - thin cracker crust- so good! We also ordered pretzel bites w beer cheese, cheese curds - crust to die for! and Bam Bam Shrimp - Sooo good! Braylee was our server - great service very friendly & attentive.
