Awesome, unique way to spend the afternoon. We went on a Sunday and it wasn’t too busy. There was a nice outdoor patio area as well.A large variety of arcade games, ranging from old to new. Many pinball machines to choose from as well. Even a few ‘party’ games were scattered about. The draft selection was extensive, and they had a few great specialty drinks and shots too. We tried the Purple Rain cocktail and it was very good. We got $20 dollars worth of tokens and it lasted three of us about two and a half hours. Good times! Thanks!
Had an incredible time hanging out here. This is completely a staple of your visit. Staff was great. Lots of different beers. Great "cheap" pizza. And such a great environment
Holy cow was Up Down a blast from the past! I have been to other barcades before and they have a great selection. But this establishment had it all! You can find Ninja Turtles, Pinball, 4 player pacman, bubble hockey, and even an N64. The games require tokens, but it isn't much. It is just enough to not have players camp highly sought after games. Also, I bet there is a beer there for everyone who likes them.
It's pretty fun. Honestly you won't need as many tokens as you think so when you have extras it makes a nice excuse to go back again. I do wish the drinks weren't as strong however others tell me they were tolerable. It's also super close route 15 so it's nice if you have too much fun to take bus home.
Great pizza and fun arencase games and drinks.
Awesome barcade. The variety of cabinets is staggering. There are a few rarer games (the Goonies arcade game, for example). The beer options seem really wide-ranging. The menu was exclusively pizza. I wish there was something for non-dairy people. Make sure you bring some cash: to play the games you need tokens, and the token machine takes cash only.
This place is epic. The theme seems to be 90s pop culture, which I love. Great selection of tap beers. Lots of retro arcade games, but my favorite thing is the N64 hooked up to a projector making a 20 foot screen to play Smash Bros and Mario Kart.
I usually really love Up Down but as far as my most recent visit, a LOT of their games are broken ? wish they'd maintain their stuff a little better
An expansive barcade with options galore, room to spread out and wonderful outdoor areas to make the most of the warmer days. You will have no trouble finding space to have fun here. The games are well spread out and organized, they have all the necessities, like Tapper, and even four skee-ball lanes. Every barcade I go to I aim to set the hiscore on the Tapper machine, but at this location the high score was over a million. I still recorded a PB of 268,000, which I am ecstatic about. They have a Killer Queen machine and host weekly league nights. You need to check them out. The game is a blast and the camaraderie around it is exhilarating.Upstairs you will find a row of pinball machines. I particularly enjoyed the Iron Man and Batman ones. Next to the upstairs bar are the fighting game machines. From here you can step outside to the upper level of the patio and get a nice view of Brady Street. Going down the stairs, you’ll find a full size shuffleboard which is always buzzing in the summer.Up Down was the penultimate stop for a bachelor party I planned a few years ago and it is a great spot to celebrate. The bar has options for everyone and it is large so you don’t have to worry about being crowded around it.
Up/Down MKE is a really fun place to play games and hang out! If you don't like crowds, get there early and play the games you want to play before the after-dinner rush drops by. They also have daily specials (like 2 for 1 tokens) so make note of that before you go. Also, the pizza is a bit mediocre- head to up/down first and then walk up Brady street for food after your visit.
