We had a huge going away… we have always loved the packing house sadly the rice was hard the baked potato was not cooked and my fav beef Wellington was the worst I had…the appetizers were good, but steaks not seasoned small besides the blackened strip …I mean a 362 dollar bill and my green beans were hard. Hope you make a come back , 5 o clock steak house amazing which is sad for our tradition.

Wife chose a bar for a fish fry (no name given) and I chose the Packing House. She said afterwards, "You can always bring me here for fish fry ?." We had a fantastic time! The atmosphere was surreal. Perfect lighting, friendly professional staff, customers enjoying themselves, nice music and a perfect fish fry plus the clam chowder was really good. Wife took some home and four days later she said that her cod was good ?, can you believe that, four days later!? They are truly deserving of their reputation.
The Packing House. This was another awesome experience for the Supper Club journey! After we confirmed our reservations, we headed to the bar. Started with the WISCO Old Fashion and Martini, they make great drinks by the way! It wasn’t long before we were seated for dinner. Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable about all the dinner options. We had a combination of the duck, tenderloin, vegan dish and pork chop for dinner. The food was amazing! Over all a 5 star experience! Thanks for a great Saturday night dining experience!
This was almost a perfect experience. The only reason why I did not give a 5 is because we had a reservation, and we still had to wait. Also, they had us by a walk way area where the waitstaff came out of(which has a lot of foot traffic), which wasn’t an ideal location. However, our service and food were AMAZING!!! Everything was piping hot, my steak was cooked correctly and our waitress was so pleasant and attentive. We really enjoyed our experience. I think this is now my favorite place for steaks(up until this point it has been Capital Grille and Perry’s in Dallas)! I can’t wait to go back!!!
This place is my go to for special celebrations. They also have an excellent fish fry on Fridays. We have tried steaks all around the city and the food plus the cozy atmosphere makes it an easy choice.
Dinner was amazing! We usually come for the fish fry (one of the best in town), but decided to eat in and order from the menu for our anniversary. One of the best meals we've had in the area! Highly recommend!
We ended up in Milwaukee on Friday after our flight out of O’Hare was canceled and we were re-booked on a flight departing from Milwaukee airport on early Saturday morning. We booked a night at the Hilton garden inn by the airport and the shuttle driver offered to drop us off at 4 different restaurants that were in close proximity to the hotel. The packing house was just what we needed after all travels. The restaurant was cozy, warm and had a nice 3 piece jazz band. We sat on the bar side as the dining room was booked. The food was delicious. We ordered the grilled cod that came with clam chowder soup and a side of heavenly potato pancakes . We also ordered the banana cream pie. Everything was delicious and there wasn’t a morsel left on our plates. We can’t wait to dine here again on our next trip to Milwaukee.
Last night in town. Wanted local dinner, saw this steak house also had a roasted duck dinner. As I do not have any restaurants serving that at home, off I went. Very pleasant meal. Left with a smile on my face.
On business travel had dinner here on 2/9/2022. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. Unfortunately the steak prices were doubled what my company allows for dinner expense so I had other proteins. But was highly satisfied with the experience overall. Will definitely return on future trips and recommend others!
