Food is tasty. Now that prices are increased it’s not a deal like it used to be though—especially since, depending on the server, you can get a bit skimped on the portions for the entrees.2021 update: prices are now out of hand, and portions also even smaller. It’s a shame, because the lower number of customers is directly attributable to those two factors.
Had it today after not having it for a couple months, still amazing as ever. The green peas on Wednesday's are the best thing on the menu and my favorite! It is the best lunch/meal in Milwaukee. Keep up the great good!

This is the greatest place for lunch in all of Milwaukee. The quality is consistently above and beyond superb. There is no place else in the city like Shah Jee's! Would recommend getting the roti every time you go. I heard they're opening more locations.

We decided to venture to Shah Jee in Downtown Milwaukee due to the reviews and glad to have done it during lunch time. The place is technically hidden in a buildings basement, but it is certainly rewarding once you try one of their platters. The basmati rice, chicken masala and other options were truly cheap and amazing on taste. You can choose two options, rice, and canned drink for $9,00. In addition, for $1 more you can get bread as well. It is really a decently priced option that provides great taste and worth visiting. I would highly recommend Shah Jee anytime if you are in the Downtown Milwaukee area.

A true hidden gem. It has good food, it's reasonably priced, and there is plenty of seating nearby. I will definitely be going here again.
