The food was delicious. The service was good. The place was too noisy to enjoy a conversation without raising one's voice quite a bit.
We have been coming to Sala since it opened 20 years ago. This restaurant just celebrated its 20th anniversary which is an extremely huge feat! Despite everything that’s gone on with this family~~life and losses, the recent pandemic ~~20 years is heroic for a restaurant! This past Saturday 4.30.22 we were there with a packed house family friends a lot of love was in the restaurant. Our server Wilber was fantastic! knocked it out of the park. We walked to the restaurant enjoyed wonderful cocktails Negronis, a martini. We ordered the artichoke special and shared the fantastic always fresh arugula salad. We ordered Arrabiata, meatball entrée, Sugo D’menfi, and gluten free meatball dish. The heart and soul of this restaurant is the family that owns it ~~Teresa B has kept this place top-notch including their family made lemon cello and the in-house made flourless chocolate cake ~incredible. If I am incorrect that the flowerless chocolate cake is made in house please someone correct this! The 4 stars is a 4.75 most of the time restaurant. I had a miss Saturday night which was the special white fish stew which was quite fishy. I was able to order another dish and went home very happy :-) thank you team Sala as always♥️?? Mary & Ned

I love this Italian gem in Milwaukee !!!Teresa is the host with the most!! Her staff is incredibly knowledgeable & attentive!!The food is authentic Italian ( love love love the Ossobuco!!!!). The decor @ ambiance is relaxing & cheerful at the same time.I had to host a special event for the SANNIO’s Consortium and Teresa worked with me on perfectly matching the selected wines with the appetizer & entree. She was incredibly accommodating. There was another big table waiting for us to leave so they could be seated , but we never felt rushed. Like I said, Teresa is truly the hostess with the ’mostess’. Highly suggest this place for your special occasions or for a casual week night dinner. You won’t be disappointed.
First time there and will be back! All was wonderful. Loved the artichoke heart app special. Try the ginger cucumber martini.

What a fun evening! I came with three of my friends and we had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent as was the service. We were brought fresh bread with olive oil to start us off. We also ordered the eggplant appetizer, which was delicious. I had the Linguini De Mare and soup of the day, which was butternut squash. Both were fantastic. Our server was excellent. The place was VERY busy and he was attentive and prompt. I definitely recommend Sala and will be going back soon.

We ordered two apps (goat cheese in a tomato basil sauce and Bruschetta) and four dinners (margarita pizza, daily special seared trout with lemon risato and Bolognese and chicken alfredo) also REALLY enjoyed the Caesar salad and minestrone soupEVERYTHING was delicious!Our server was Abbey and she was truly a great server!
