Hadnât been to the Safe House in years. Unfortunately, not in a hurry to go back. Went for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant wasnât full, Service was on the slow side, but our server was pleasant and apologetic. When our food came out we received three of our partyâs food, but the other three didnât arrive. We assumed they would be right behind. After waiting at least 10 minutes, our server appeared and we informed her that half of the orders still hadnât arrived. She said she would check. Another 10 minutes. No food. Server finally shows up again. Again, sheâd check. It was over a half an hour before the food finally arrived. We had actually been looking for our server to just get our bill and her out of there. By this time the spy theme had worn off and we just wanted to get out of there, but apparently the spy theme runs deep as our server was MIA. At the end, we received our bill. Nothing adjusted, no cocktails taken off as a courtesy. Just a weak apology. I realize staffing is so hard. I get it. But this situation was ridiculous. I know they could have done better.
My only comments would be that 1) there were some hidden fees added to our tab, such as an âEntertainment Feeâ and a âService Fee,â that I wasnât thrilled about. And 2) our server was very friendly and played her role well, but she did not come back to check on us or refill any drinks.
We were quite surprised with the extra charges of entertainment fee and Server Charge. I would prefer to see a higher in price on food and drinks and not have additional tacked on unknowingly.
This is about the experience and cocktails. Was here 40 yrs ago and is nearly as fun as back then
Great place for families. Need more servers or cooks. Open tables but weâre not taking more reservations. Kids had fun doing the recon.
The service was very hit or miss. We waited ten minutes before we saw our first server. And for the price, the food was average. The theme is fun but a bit confusing when wandering around where people are eating. Appreciated the free birthday dessert.
It was not a great experience at the Safehouse. I had a fly in beer and it went downhill from there. It took 45 minutes to get our appetizer. Our food was ok except I didnât get part of what the menu said was on my sandwich then mentioned it to the waitress. She said that what I got was what the menu said. I politely told her it wasnât and she said she would let the Kitchen know. Didnât even offer to get it for me. We will not be back. Also itâs loud.
Food was fantastic. Ambience was fantastic. The restaurant crew was lost, unorganized, and generally helpless in terms of service. This was a very cool experience for my family that was tainted with waiting 35 min past our reservation to be seated. Half the table was served their food while the other half waited an additional 15 minutes to be served. This location has so much to offer but seriously needs an experienced manager to help with the chaos.
Not many food options more if a drinkers paradise.
Horribly horrible. Worst service I ever had at any restaurant. Food was bad. Just such a bad experience.
