I just think this situation could have been handled a little better/differently. We have been getting their plant based brats and hot dogs recently, and in our last visit we brought our food home to notice that the 2 plant based hot dogs in the order were completely different. One was the PB dog we are used to, which is clearly plant based, and the other looked like they had mistakenly given us a meat hot dog. We called them about it and they said they ran out of their usual one and switched over to a different one during our order. I feel like thats something that could have been communicated to us while we were there; so we wouldnt feel worried about our food being meat/wrong when we got home. Or maybe they also could have said with us there "we just ran out of our usual PB hot dog, we can either give you this other one, or you can pay more for our PB brat instead" and i would have happily paid more for the product im used to. The concern that i had a meat dog, and no communication about it before leaving, made me lose my appetite. Just something to consider.
Samuri Dog was amazing, as was the Carolina. I wish I could have had everything I wanted off the menu. it al sounded amazing. Best Hot dog I have had in a long time. 10 out of 10, I still got wood.
I am so pleased with the service, the people and especially the food. there are so few plant based options at food truck events. there were so many choices, and all were able to be plant based. I will definitely keep coming back to try more.
First time here today and it was incredibly tasty!Easily the best brat and hot dog I’ve ever had! The flavor combinations are rich and bursting with flavor; top notch overall. The guy who greeted me at the front was really nice and friendly. These guys took care of me and will definitely take care of you too. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing experience with Riley’s Good Dogs! We had them cater our “getting ready” lunch at a nearby wedding venue and the hotdogs, fries and pasta salad were all a big hit with both the bridesmaids and the groomsmen. I ordered a few different packages and the guys put together a great meal consisting of all the fixings to build several of the hotdogs on the menu. Hank and Bill came by to set up the hotdog bar for us and to make sure we had everything we needed. Hank and Brian were great to work with and really made an effort to see that the catering was top notch! I highly recommend Riley’s Good Dogs to cater your next event.
I got a plant based hot dog. While eating it it seemed to have a plastic wrapping which I almost choked on. I called them only to be told that it was a collagen wrapping. These are made from animals. Won’t be eating here again.
I was in the mood for hot dogs last night but I had already eaten dinner and it was a little late so I decided against it. Suffice it to say I googled places in the area that may have good hot dogs. The search engine gave me a few places so I decided to try out Riley’s. I was so stoked at how the food looked and was roaring to try it so I did the next day at lunch. I ordered online abs walked down the way to give them a shot. My belly was rumbling when I got back. So I opened the bag and begin to remove the contents. I ordered a few options so I can try them across the board to see what they are working with. Ignore the preposition…I tried the Carolina classic with a vegan dog, the Coney Cheese beef hot dog with vegan cheese, and some zoomie coney fries with vegan cheese. I was expecting some grilled carmelization on the dogs with a snap per usual qualifications of a hot dog in my book. I bit into the Carolina and the vegan hot dog was cold on the inside, so was the Coney beef hot dog. The fries were ok but a little sweet for my taste.A few suggestions from me would be after the hot dogs are boiled or steamed to place them on the grill to add that (in my Cookie Monster voice), “brown food taste good” on the menu in other words to put some flavor on em’…it would also help them to warm through the interior so a customer doesn’t get a cold dog. I can understand how the vegan hot dog didn’t snap but the all beef one is some cause for concern. The toppings were underwhelming meaning the coney sauce and coleslaw. I didn’t get creamy from the coleslaw it just tasted like onions. The coney sauce didn’t have much flavor to it. Just punch it up. Maybe I’ll try a brat next time.
I've walked by the truck parked at their base kitchen on daily basis for some tome now and wondered what they were all about... now I can finally order from the base kitchen. nice! While I don't get the desire for plant based "meat" (then just eat veggies and grains.... I mean it's as odd as wanting meat based "veggies") I get there's a market and hey... go make that money.Their brats and hotdogs are pretty good and their flavor combos and bun choices just make them better. The fries are OK but way to potato-y for me... like eating mashed potatoes lightly fried vs fries.I think places like this really need to have a signature blend home made sausage or 2 and/or seasonally made (homemade) sausages. Much like BBQ joints in TX where they almost all make their own sausage blends and are all unique (Frito pie sausage? hell yeah! enchilada sausage? damn! of course the variations of cheddar and peppers are always solid).
Amazing plant-based options! The staff are super friendly too.I had two hotdogs and they are one of the best I've ever tasted. I was surprised that they used such an awful vegan cheese sauce though, I would recommend they find a replacement. Their plant-based cheese sauce tastes like plastic chemicals.
