Perfect dinner before seeing a movie next door. Food and bev were terrific as always and the service was great as well. Love us our Pizza Man!
The restaurant has a cool interior and nice vibe. The menu has a nice selection, not just pizza. The food was good but not fantastic. For example the brussels sprouts were raw in the salad, and not sliced very thin, making it not pleasant to eat. My main concern is with the service. We were promptly seated, beverages were delivered, and food ordered. But then no one checked in with us again for 40 minutes until food was delivered to the table all at once (appetizers and meals all together). The server never stopped by to see if everything was OK and we had to flag him down for our check. When we departed no one acknowledged us. It wasn't a terrible experience but I'm in no hurry to visit again.
Usually terrific but last night was not good. Salad came out without dressing and pizza had been sitting awhile before it got to our table. Very long wait and little service.

Great as always, except for one item. We have been going there for almost 45 yrs and since the Original owner, who ended up being a minority partner when they rebuilt died, they went to a minimum of two glass wine pour. The wine is still good, decent size but some people want one glass or a third glass but not twoâs or fours. They need to go back to single glass pour! They can go back to offering single glasses on only certain wines. The reason we decided for the two glass pour was that if they open a bottle, the two glass pour breaks them even if they donât sell the rest. When Mike was alive, they had a decent choice of reds and whites by the glass- 3-4 of each
The bottom line is that the food and service are both great. Menu and options offer everyone something they would like
We know the service industry has been hit hard. The host seemed to take on some additional tasks which improved the service tremendously. He had our table set prior to our arrival. I think his assistance helped our waitress to also do a great job. We had asked for well done pizzas and they were not well done...perhaps they were afraid to burn them, which would have been preferred. We'll try again.
We love Pizza Man. It was nearly empty and we waited a long time to get drinks and never got our appetizers/salads until it all came together after a long wait. The food was wonderful as always but it was our worst service experience in our years of patronage
Pizza Man is a favorite of ours and only having one night back home in Milwaukee meant this was a must. Their pizza is simply the best--great sauce, light, crispy crust, and delicious toppings. And their wine choices are excellent. We still miss the original location but the new one is beautifully decorated.
Great food, great place! We'll be back! They just need to figure out how to pace the food a little better! Every time we are there everything comes all at once (appetizers and pizza/entrees).
