This isn't quite as good or maybe it's just the atmosphere but the east side one on actual Oakland avenue is the one I would recommend however if you're on the south side this is a very very good compromise and I would recommend if you're not that hungry to get the baby gryo.It isn't on the menu for a good reason however it is definitely the ticket otherwise make sure you get an extra pita on a combo order.Thanks Oggi's
Tonite my fiance & me got take out from here. Only to get home & realize our order was messed up. When I called the store I was connected with the manager who offered to not only give us a refund but also give us a replacement order for free. Not to mention we got to keep the messed up order as well. All in all this place rocks! The food is delicious, portions are huge, customer service is great, & the prices are reasonable.
I ordered fish combo and spinach pie combo fish was excellent. Spinach pie unfortunately while I was eating or chewing I felt like small egg shell I forcefully chewed harder and spitted out it’s a pure egg shell it’s a small mistake in kitchen but it leads someone life be careful while you serve food or else I’ve to consider this is a very serious violation got photographs don’t repeat it again thanks
Incredible! I've never seen such huge, ketchup-sized, complimentary bottles of tzatziki before. Try their gyro and spinach pie platters; we loved them!
The Manager and crew were Kind, Respectfully Great. I ordered Saganaki Amazing Flaming Cheese . A Must have!!!! Clean place ,Great service. All I can say is Opa!!!! Means Wow in Greece. Food was i incredible and Tasty ,Big Serving
My favorite restaurant in all of Milwaukee!! Always consistently GREAT with DELICIOUS FOOD and very generous portion sizes. I will go out of my way for lamb, moussaka, spanikopita and the eggplant fries. You will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED at Oakland Gyros!!
This place has it all. Simply couldn't believe how great it was. We got the gyro platter, Greek salad with gyro meat, saganaki, and a mushroom Swiss burger. Every one of us was very happy with the food, portions, service, etc. Word to the wise: if you're a cheese-lover, ORDER THE SAGANAKI - any flaming cheese is gonna be good, but theirs is fantastic, and a lot of bang for the buck. Would make a memorable lunch date.
Oakland Gyros is the best! They have the best Gyros in the city. No place will ever top them. The rice with that gravy is good. The pepper steak is good also.The staff is always nice and friendly.
Oakland gyros is a milwaukee classic. Enjoyed the chicken shishkabob platterPlenty of chicken, rice and olives.. was a little disappointed with the little bit of feta. All in all is great food. Oh and the tzatziki sauce is fantastic. Update Feb 23 2022. Stopped by to reaffirm the deliciousness of the gyro platter. Price might be a bit higher but o well...still an awesome gyro, rice, olive onion and tomato WITH a piece of Feta. This visit was the classic gyro
LOVE OAKLAND GYROS! Wish there was one closer to where I live so I could go more often. BEST GYROS IN WHOLE AREA! You get so much meat too that I always take leftovers home!
