As much as I wanted to enjoy this place and as somebody who lives in the area, I cannot say that I would recommend. They may crowdsource their beers but they don't feel like they add anything to the surrounding community. As a south side resident since the 90's, there are other local restaurants that add to the Milwaukee diversity and community.
We wanted a low-key rehearsal dinner for our wedding and already love MobCraft, so having it in their Brewery space among the fermenters was the perfect fit! Leading up to the day, Elise was fantastic to work with and, even after a full day of production, the Brewery was clean and set up exactly how we pictured it. They had the garage door open for us so we could have our makeshift aisle in the parking lot for the actual rehearsal. We loved that we had our own private bar, but guests could still go try other flavors at the main bar during the event. We catered in tacos for dinner, but even at the end of the night they helped clean everything up. Would not hesitate to host another event here in the future.
Fun place to hang out with no televisions and genuine conversations amongst friends. The pizza reviews are legit - great pizza - and the pretzel with cheese is delicious.
MobCraft's Brewery space was great for our wedding rehearsal dinner since we are avid Craft Beer lovers. Elise was a delight to work with - she answered emails very quickly and had us in for a free tasting to pick out the beers for dinner. They allowed us in early to decorate but the space does not need much with the lighting, beer barrels and kettles (which made for very cool pictures too). We enjoyed having the back open to mingle outside. The beer was delicious and they also offered wine, seltzer, cider and some other options. The food (appetizers and pizzas) was very tasty - we highly recommend the fig and jam pizza! They also allowed us to bring in outside desserts. The staff were all super friendly and our guests had a great time! Finally, the price for the rental was extremely reasonable for 30 people.
Tried the Excellence.A Belgian style sour but barrel aged and 10% alc vol.I don't know how they managed the spontaneous fermentation (what Belgian gueuze is known for) but this is spot on.A dry, cider-like, musty, sour taste exactly as it should be.Excellent!Just like the assistance of Caroline behind the bar.
*really* good beers. Also picked up the Milwaukee Pickl-O pizza, and everyone at our table loved it. Would definitely recommend checking this place out
Anastasia was Amazing !! The flights she set us up with were SO good Tailored to what we like and the flatbread’s were out of this world I’m so impressed being from Chicago and being very judgmental with pizza’s such good seasonings not basic you’re missing out of you don’t order one the whitewater and pepperoni so amazing we got one Togo
Awesome beer. Great food. Anastasia is by far the best bartender around. Super friendly, personable and interactive. We are visiting the area and came back a second time just for her ?
A crowdsourced brewery that brings that community spirit to everything it touches. You won’t find many breweries like this one. They do the standards to a high standard and then they have wildly inventive beers that you had no idea could be so good. Their whole model revolves around people submitting ideas and then the community votes for which one gets made. Their ability to execute on people’s imaginations are what allowed them to grow so quickly. The taproom is always hopping and there is an electric energy that fills the air. In the warmer months there is a lot more seating with the garage doors opening up and tables filling all the space they can. Your mind will be blown by the number of beers on tap and then blown again by the variety. There is something for everyone and something that you didn’t know you needed. If you like sour beers like I do, you will be in love with Mobcraft. Low Phunk is a perennial favorite and I have tried loads more that fill my funky cravings. As I mentioned before, the community around this brewery is special. They put on a ton of events that are enthusiastically attended with many being regular visitors. I have not been to their Weird Fest yet, but one of these years, I will make sure to be in town for it.
Great experience at MobCraft! Beers were fantastic, service was great, our bartender, Joe was super friendly and helpful. Helped me submit my idea for a beer, The Tropical Belgian! We will be back!
