Pub wasn't full. From the time we got our beverages until we got the bill we didn't see our waitress! We had to ask another lady for our bill. When she brought the bill, she had the nerve to tell us that a 18% tip was automatically added to the bill! VERY NERVY! Should tell you that BEFORE you order or have it on the menu! Ordered the Perch Walleye dinner. Perch were cooked like potato chips. Walleye were cooked better. Potato pancakes were good and the American fries were really good except for the burnt ones. I had wanted another beer with my fish, but never got the chance to order one!I won't be going back here!!
Karen and Nina were awesome - best Reuben in town. We’ve been here multiple times when we come up to visit our friend Todd and it is reliably delicious. If you’re there on a Wed or Fri, do the fish fry - you’re welcome.
Had the full slab of ribs and they were delicious! The meat fell off the bone. I’ve been for breakfast as well and the corned beef hash was amazingGreat place with a friendly staff and cozy atmosphere.
The reuben sandwich was excellent, absolutely the best I've ever had. But the trashy looking waitress in worn out blue jean shorts and long black T-shirt was awful. I was thirsting for another beer or at least some water. The only thing she brought was the check.
great food! great food! oh yeah did I say great food? felt like no-one wanted to take care of our party until we warmed up with them. great concept to have auto gratuity (18%) to keep the staff happy.
No bad food. We love this place. Worth the drive from Bay View. Best Corned Beef in town.
Haven't been there in 15 yrs or so... Haven't missed a beat still the best rueben anywhere hands down
Went for a Friday Fish Fry and was disappointed on several different aspects of the visit. The Walleye, despite having a great deep-fried appearance, was kind of mushy and did not have very good flavor at all. The service was also very disappointing as we waited 50 minutes to get our food when the restaurant was not terribly busy after the dinner rush. TO make matters worst, the server only returned to drop off our food after bringing our drink orders-not a single check up. I gave two stars for the benefit of the doubt that we just got a bad service for the evening and that the fish was just not great that night. I would like to try again in a few months.
