Excellent food and service. Started with oysters on the half shell and hoppin John with butter. Nojito and sazerac cocktails. Catfish served with red beans and rice and pecan crusted trout were plentiful and exceptional. Dessert included peach cobbler and bread pudding. Meal was not at all rushed. A pleasant surprise when the owner, Dan, stopped by our table to chat. Overall, a very enjoyable dinner.

Our table was ready for us on time. Service was great! All staff was very polite and helpful. Food was outstanding and worth what we paid. The vibe here is super chill and almost gives a coffee house feel. We enjoyed it very much and will be going back regularly...

Great food, superb service. High marks for VERY fresh oysters. The menu used to be much more expansive and now strikes me as rather limited. Service by Elizabeth on July 5, 2022 was flawless. She's an amazing asset to the restaurant. It's much appreciated that the entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. Please bring back more Po' Boys, especially fried oysters.

Want a restaurant in a quiet neighborhood feel, try Maxie. However, hope your food experience was better than my party it was hit or miss.
