The atmosphere at LuLu Cafe is the best reason to go here (I'll get to the awesome food later). You'll find all ages at LuLu. Seriously, it was one of the most diverse age ranges I've ever seen at a trendy looking cafe spot. Although I didn't have any of the drinks, they looked great and the happy hour special was enticing. We'll have to return for that. As for the food, the grilled sandwiches were excellent. Even the flatbreads were unique in nature. 100% recommend.

Everything Lulu does is very, very good at a very, very good price. The place is the perfect gathering spot to enjoy a drink, meal and relax at the bar before or after. Lulu is a place not to be missed, it's a Milwaukee institution.
Outstanding. We recently rediscovered this place after rude treatment at Palomino and it was just a delight. The asian slaw was excellent. Most notably it's probably the best burger I've ever had in Milwaukee or anywhere. I look forward to visiting again soon.
Wow! I just had the best experience and best server. Maryna was very attentive, made wonderful menu recommendations, ensured all our dietary requirements were met. I had an accidental spill and she came so quickly with a towel and didn't make me feel ashamed. She recommended the East Indian Chicken Pita and it was stellar. 10/10 definitely will be back!!
I would definitely not recommend the Mexi-Cal burger. Not sure who thought it was a good idea to put whole black beans on top of a burger?! I can tell you it's not a good idea they just fall out everywhere and make a mess the burger was cold.The mixed greens are good, The blue cheese dressing was very good. Also I definitely recommend the falafel.The hot toddy was very good.Not sure if I would come back but most of the food was good.
Joel is amazing! Great recommendations and service. The young dark haired hostess is very friendly and attentive, which is unique for a hostess. Food was awesome. Atmosphere friendly and welcoming. Love this place!

I decided to catch up with my home gals tonight for dinner. Our original choice to dine in was closed, but there was a spot down the street, so we decided to eat there, no biggie, ehhhh.... We ended up going to LuLu Cafe & Bar. The waitress was great. The food was below average; I had this dry double dutch mac n cheese that was deprived of the extra $3 worth of chicken, nothing major. The atmosphere was chill. Allegedly, our table had reservations (which was perturbing because when we first arrived, it was in a desolate state), and we were told if we wanted to stay, we could sit at the bar, I declined asapishly because there were various tables full of white people doing exactly what my skinfolx and I were doing. We were indeed confuzzled as to why this mendacious lady of a lighter persuasion was in our face, impeding our girl's night with foolishness. But I digress, we bounced.... At any rate, I said all that to say I enjoyed experiencing 5-star fatuous racism in the year 2021; there's absolutely nothing like it. If you aren't privy to this behavior, you are totally missing out, but I implore you to check out LuLu Cafe & Bar because they'll show you a really good time and leave you with an experience of a lifetime. Tons of great sandwich options - I got the Santa Fe Melt with the chips and Asian slaw. So yummy! Cool interior.
