I just heard on NPR the story of the owner and his workers who decided to form a union. What I heard was disheartening. For a man to start a small business and then be back stabbed by his workers - 5 of them - is disgraceful. Apparently it started because someone didn’t want to sign a contract about upcoming work hours? Sorry but where I come from adults get hired to work, not children.
This is such a cute little coffee shop in the third ward! I adore how many plants they have here, and the atmosphere was super cozy. They have ample inside and outside seating which is perfect if you have work to get done! The coffee was great; i just wish the Vanilla Bean Latte had a little bit more flavor to it! the baristas were friendly and nice!
On our first trip to Milwaukee a few weeks back, we discovered Likewise. We had a wonderful experience all around. Great tasting drinks, a good variety of sweet and savory pastries, and the staff took good care of us. Plus, the location is spacious and gorgeous with lots of outdoor options. This coffee shop alone is a good reason to make another trip to Milwaukee soon.
I got a seasonal tea, which I’m not normally a heavy tea drinker, but it was SO GOOD. The granola bar was also delicious- taste was like a cookie!
Excellent place either for a breakfast, evening coffee or anytime coffee+book ☕+?...???♂️I had a banana bread and an iced moka peppermint which both were delicious and NOT so sweet (I really appreciate that, it better to be lee's sweet and then you can add sweetener as you desire). The music and seats arrangement are very nice and calm/relaxing so you could easily work on your computer there except for taking call as you could interrupt the atmosphere they've created! ?

So glad I decided to stop by on my way back to Chicago!The Likewise staff immediately left an impression by taking the time to carefully describe the differences between their pourover blends! 10/10 great spot to work from or meet a friend for coffee. Full walls of windows let’s in beautiful natural light. The plant life is thriving. Coffee and staff were above and beyond
