The food was too salty and not fresh at all. Everything we had that was fried tasted like leftovers reheated in the microwave. Compared to what this restaurant was before you can tell they don’t have the same chef’s because the quality of the food is very poorly. I believe this does not leave a good impression on the restaurant and is not a great representation of what Caribbean food is like, because Caribbean food taste very fresh and balanced. The service is not there at all, they literally forget that you’re there. Don’t asked how the food is or nothing. Never coming here again!
Authentic, fresh Puerto Rican food. I will stop in here every time I visit Milwaukee. The flan is just perfect.
The Cuban sandwich was the best thing we got. And there were 8 of us there. Food was too pricey. Carne frita was hard and dry. And too hot inside. They only sell acapurias by 4. And they were not cooked enough. So I had no choice but to get 4 even though I only ate one. Service was disappointing as well. It was a little busy but to have our waitress come to our table 3 times is unacceptable. Once to order. The second time was with our drinks. And the 3rd time was with our food. I had to ask for our bill on our way out. . There aren't enough Puerto Rican restaurants in Milwaukee to have a bad one. ?
Food was good and the atmosphere was really nice besides being a bit hot inside.
Excellent food. Friendly service and very good music. Will definitely be back.
is a nice place make looks like my home town restaurant nice but not fancy good place to eat friendly people
Second time going. Staff are very nice and food is amazing. The Virgin Pina Coloada is delicious along with their other shakes, of which they have many options. The food tastes authentic, and the interior and exterior of the restaurant makes the expert feel complete.
My husband, daughter and I were at La caribeńa this saturday that just passed 06/25/2022. The lady who was our server attended us very well in the beginning but after taking our orders everything went downhill. We didn't receive our drinks till 15-20 minutes later. I had ordered a coke and my husband a frappe, so I understand frappes are in demand which is somewhat understandable. The food arrived, everything was delicious. One thing we did not like at all was the server never came up to us to ask us if we needed anything else, She was more focused on the other tables. Litteraly after she put down our plates, we didn't hear of her again until we were done with our food which is when she picked up our plates. There was an occasion when she was picking up another table's plates and on her way out she asked some gentlemen that were right behind us, if they were all okay. We turned around since we thought she was talking to us but no, instead of asking us also, she just walked away. I can understand that this place is always full but around the time we went it wasn't at all. We tipped out of respect but forsure we will go somewhere else next time. Don't get me wrong the food was delicious but the fact that she kept passing by and didn't aknowledge us at all was quite disrespectful.
The food is not good, I had a bad experience with empanadas, bandeja paisa that's not Latin food. I'm Colombian and my 30$ really hurt ??♀️ Besides thier stuff wasn't nice and gentle.
It was my first time having Puerto Rican food and it was delicious. My friend who happens to be Puerto Rican herself also approved.
