It was ok. Another one of those "trendy" hipster places on Brady street. I was when three others that enjoy that kind of atmosphere so they all gave it a four star. My drink took forever in an almost empty dining room. My chimichanga barely had any meat and the server barely checked on us. The one other table had two couples come and go in the time it took our table of four. The drinks are a hit or a miss. We ordered 7 and 2 were gross
Terrible service for lunch. We were the only table. Sat outside. Received stale chips. Bland salsa. Plastic ware instead of silverware. Waited 10 minutes in between seeing the server (bartender). Had to go in to get drinks ordered. Wind blew chips off the table and never received new ones. El Pastor tacos were clearly Leftover, microwaved, dry, bland. Rice was terrible, yet was the best thing (probably because it reheats well). Beans were burnt and tasted like smoked ham. Flat, warm beer. The people with us liked the chimichangas. But, that was the only positive thing active could take from the meal.
We’ve been meaning to check out Kompali for a while now and I’m excited that we were finally able to make it. Well worth the wait. It’s a very cool environment with great Mexican food (and a strong tequila selection to go with it). The next time you’re down on Brady or looking for a new spot for good Mexican food, give Kompali a try.
When your feeling homesick and want food that brings you back to your mom or sisters kitchen….. i come here. Staff are so incredibly warm and welcoming. One of the young ladies is going to start teaching 1st grade in two weeks and she’s super nervous! Be sure to give her some encouragement because you will see, she is wonderful and has absolutely nothing to be worried about ? Good luck (not that you need it ) thanks guys see y’all soon
They have amazing shrimp tacos and vegetarian tacos. Also the fruit margaritas are to die for if you decide to drink. The atmosphere is warm and lively. When the weather is nice, they have outdoor seating on brady street. The servers are nice and prompt.

Food is AMAZING!! Service MORE THAN AMAZING!!A Special THANK YOU to CEASAR! He was our bartender/server and our carryout order was missing food, discovered when we arrived home.. However, after calling and letting Ceasar know, I was shocked when Ceasar and his fellow bartender personally brought me my missing taco!!!! Wow!!! Hands down best customer service of 2021!!!I can't forget the FOOD! Another hidden gem!! A must try!!!
Excellent dining experience with an amazing selection of tequila for a small corner tavern. The food has very authentic flavors, high quality ingredients, well prepared and cooked with experience, care and attention. I was reminded of the 2 months that I spent in Hidalgo, Mexico. Outstanding flavors that literally brought back memories. I live an hour and a half away, but I plan to return several times a year. The best Mexican/ Peruvian (the twist) I have had in the years since my stay in Mexico many years ago. This is authentic food. Not the dumbed down tourist versions you might have tried at a tourist trap in Mexico. Service was attentive and very helpful but not intrusive. 11 out of 10.
