Great food and interesting presentation. The sushi is good, here. They also have a cool vibe inside. I do have two things that bug me about this place. Their prices are 20% more than most sushi restaurants. That's annoying. What's even more annoying is their service. They were well staffed during a recent lunch. There were 6 people in the restaurant, and it took 10 minutes just to get water. My business lunch turned into a more than 90 minute affair. I gave them 4 stars because the food is so darn good.
Sashimi was fresh and great! The ramen was tasty and spicy (the way we ordered).
Very good ramen. Definitely my favorite ramen place in the area. The Hellfire Ramen is my favorite. The broth is flavorful and the included add-ons are perfect. The sushi is good too. Worth stopping by if you're looking for sushi or ramen.
3rd street location. Yuzu ramen was the most bland ramen I've ever had. Partner didn't get mushrooms in hers. The only thing with any flavor in it at all was the egg.Gyoza were cold and not crispy at all. Service was friendly. Would not return
The place is very clean and organized.Server was friendly and attentive. They dont have free refills on sodas whats odd.Overpriced items as sashimi and sushi.Takoyaki and dynamite shrimp very good.
Fabulous! After a day of work outside in the cold, the best meal I have had in a long time was at Kawa. My coworker suggested it and another coworker seconded it immediately. It was my first time and I loved it. I ordered the appetizer with breaded shrimp and breaded veggies and I could’ve had eaten a whole plate of them. They were crunchy and not greasy, with a sweet sauce for dipping. I also had the seafood soup, which was light, delicately cooked, mild flavor, all great. I added red pepper to make it spicy. Will be coming back again!
Absolutely the best Ramen in MKE. Everything was fresh, flavorful and authentic. Portions are huge and prices are right! I will be back for sure.
the service was wonderful, the young lady attentive, polite & friendly. the ramon soup was exceptionally flavorful, great depth with perfect noodles, pork, egg & more - I haven't enjoyed so much since Nagoya. my wife enjoyed the sashimi and sushi, fresh & temperature perfect. we visited during lunch on the recommendation of a friend, so pleased we did.
Beautiful space with attentive staff, delicious ramen, great sushi and good sake. Four of us went in very hungry, so we ordered the Party Boat to share. We devoured it pretty quickly, so ordered two more rolls because we were still hungry. When our server found out we were there to celebrate a birthday, he was kind enough to bring a sundae at the end of our meal and encouraged the table to sing! Parking is tough around here, so be prepared.
Kawa has always been a favorite and continues to have the best/most authentic ramen in SE WI that doesn't break the bank and is relatively quick.
