So disappointing. First of all, we paid for extra broccoli in the general tso’s and there was literally 5 pieces of broccoli. The lo mein tastes like oil and soy sauce. And the portions are lunch portions not standard Chinese food family portions. For $35 for two dishes, this was horrible. Also, no problem paying for stuff, but if I literally pay for extra veggies and don’t even get them ? so disappointing
We were in the mood for Chinese and despite eating at several places in the third ward, I never knew of Jings. Almost missed the sign but it's up the stairs off the sidewalk in the building right across from shake shack. What a pleasant surprise as the food and service was very good. Started out with the pan fried dumplings like many others here and they did not disappoint. Beef lo mein, sweet and sour chicken and orange chicken was what we ordered and all enjoyed it.
My wife and I decided to have dinner here tonight. We are glad we did as the service and food was excellent. We had the Dumplings pan fried, they were fried perfectly and had a nice crunch to add some texture. The flavor was excellent and very neatly crafted.I had the General Tsos chicken for my entree, the batter was crisp and the chicken was tender. Also the sauce was excellent. My wife had the Mongolian Beef, which was very tender and tasted great.Only downside is that we could smell the oil from the kitchen throughout the dining area. Might I suggest the owner(s) invest in a more powerful hood vent.
Very nice lady on the phone but the food was just not enough for the amount we paid. We paid 60$ for three dinners. The Mongolian beef was mostly all onions. Seriously almost all onions. General tsos was good but didn’t even fill the small container. We ordered take out.
One of our favorite Chinese restaurants in town. Never too loud, always great service, a very kind owner, and delicious food. Parking can be a bit of a pain in the area, but worth it.
Very disappointed with food. We ordered singapore noodles. It has just carrots and mushrooms. Chicken lo mein does not have any veggies added. Portions are very very small for the price. Will never visit again.
Jing's Chinese Restaurant will be temporarily closed from Tuesday (2/15/2022) to Thursday (2/17/2022) to celebrate Chinese Lantern Festival. The store will be re-open at regular hours starting Friday (2/18/2022)
Overpriced for low quality food and service. It was just terrible i dont even know where to begin. A friend and i came in craving some chinese food and decided to stoo by jings, the lady at the counter seated us and took forever to take our order even though it was not busy there were only 3 tables that night. I ordered lo.mein and wanted a side of rice but the waitress very rudely told me i had to order the whole plate of fried rice with meat no sides were given. I was shocked at how rude she was to me and my friend but was super friendly to other customers and we didnt even do anything to upset her! I was even more upset when i overheard the table behind us order a side of rice and the same waitress gave them what they ordered. The night just got worse. We got our food from a kind gentleman and he was nice enough but our waitress not once came to check on us to see if we needed anything else. The noodles were bland and had no flavor, there were no vegetables included just the bland noodles and dry chicken. For that plate alone 15 dollars not including the beverage which they oonly had water.Needless to say i will not be returning to this place i was super dissapointed and did not satisfy my craving.
Very satisfying meal accompanied by mellow staff and a peaceful atmosphere.I got the five delight and it sure was delightful; however, I don't think it's worth the price.Additionally, if I were to pay the priced paid at Jing's, I would go somewhere else.Good! But not optimal.
Friendly owner and delicious food!
