Love the space and chill vibe! The employees were very nice and helpful! The drinks were delicious and made perfectly! I loved that we could order through QR codes at the table we sat at. We will definitely go back often!
Kind and knowledgeable staff. Coffee is roasted on site and tastes like specialty coffee should. I asked for a recommendation, and it was exactly what I like!Only option is pour over if you want regular drip coffee, and the baristas did a great job with it. That’s probably my favorite part of this cafe. “Slow bar” is a risky thing to do in the coffee world, but everyone gets a fresh, hand-poured cup of coffee. It’s worth the wait.Atmosphere was vintage cool, and again, the baristas were warm and friendly. So, that made the vibe even better.I’ll go back when I’m looking for a good space to enjoy a great cup of coffee. The 2 hr limit on the WiFi will prevent me from coming to work from there though.
I really enjoyed the mocha that I ordered! And it came with a pretty milk froth on top! They let me post up for several hours and work, which I bet much appreciated.
Hawthorne Coffee Roasters was sweet! And super huge! Great coffee for a great price, plenty of room to hang and great for a group. Get to this south Milwaukee coffee roaster! There's outdoor seating as well.
Absolutely wonderful service daily. The staff is amazing and always provides me with the first smile of the day. Highly Recommend stopping in for a beverage or even to pick up some of their own coffee for home!
Pretty neat little place with great prices. Their bloodies are awesome and they come with PBRs! Awesome concept with it being built inside of an old bowling alley. I forgot the name of the bowling alley though
One of my favorite local coffee roasters in Milwaukee. Their staff is always friendly and they go above and beyond in their customer service. The space is large and great for coming to sit down and read or work for hours. Lots of tables, but the bar seats are the best. My personal favorite roast is their Guatemala, but you can’t go wrong with any of them depending on your preference. They have an incredible selection of coffee/cocktail-inspired mocktails and speciality drinks as well, but they will give just as much respect and care to a simple pour over order. This place is worth the drive even if you don’t live on this side of town. Thanks for being a day brightener always, Hawthorne team!
Excellent place! Super cute, friendly staff. Very large seating area. The coffee was delicious. Loved the convenience of scanning the QR coffee to order at the table. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Not too busy feeling even on a Saturday morning.
I stopped in for a great cup of black coffee. Hawthorne did not disappoint! The friendly clerk ground and brewed freshly- roasted beans while I waited. My coffee was prepared using the pour- over method. Better than Colectivo and without any political agenda. Excellent flavor at a very reasonable cost, served with a smile. Lots of room inside or out if you want to meet with friends.
Everyone is so friendly, the coffee is amazing, and the prices are great!!! 10/10 :)
