Went here for the first time on a Friday evening with my sister. It was very busy we didn’t want to wait for a table so they let us sit at the bar. The place was clean and nice and we had a great server.… I had beef enchiladas and my sister had steak tacos both came with rice and beans. Prices are reasonable and the food was delicious I was impressed actually.
I will never go to this restaurant again. It was my first time yesterday which was May 16th 2022. The waitress gave us the poorest customer service I have ever received in my entire life of being here in Milwaukee Wisconsin for 37 years. I have never been discriminated against by my own kind until yesterday. my friend told her he could not read she made fun of him laughed at his face and asked him if he was serious we weren't ready to order she walked away when she came back he asked her what type of meats were on the menu for the tacos she rudely ask him didn't you read the menu I then told her this is our first time here in this is the way you are treating us she's in left at me and told me to speak to her in Spanish not English because there was other American families around us then she took it upon herself to go to the next table and ask them that she serve them poorly the table looked confused I apologize to the table and told her why are you asking them if the problem is with our table not theirs. We then asked for a new waitress, She stood there stubbornly looking at a smirking and laughing. I truly believe I was being discriminated against because I have tattoos and I spoke English and Spanish. When the table behind me was leaving the young lady approached me and she said I don't speak Spanish can you please tell me what was going on I explained her the whole situation she apologized to my table and I apologize to her as well funny thing is that she said she doesn't speak no Spanish so she had no clue what was going on until she heard me speaking in English and explaining my part. And FYI I am a community activist and FYI tattoos don't make you a bad person, that waitress and that restaurant is a racist against her own kind. I will never come back here again as long as I live or as long as that lady is there. I apologize for the families that witnessed this yesterday.
My moms favorite restaurant!! If you haven’t tried, put it on your list! Tacos with a generous helping of meat, delicious and not crunchy steak at all!!
Inconsistent with their prices. First basket of chips is free, after its around $2.00 for more! The servers will not tell you this so your total will be different everytime until you realize it. I was also charged extra to put sour cream on the side instead of on the plate when it came with it. Staff was rude when I explained how it was frustrating being charged different amounts everytime I came and the guy said "well we can charge you for all those other times." Another customer said she was charged more this time too and I got SCOLDED for talking to another customer about it. The food is GREAT... service is hit or miss. And the (I think) the "manager" kept saying in spanish "leave it" like I didn't know what she was saying.. she was just trying to get me out when I had no problem paying and just wanted to inform them to be consistent.. because everytime is a different. I guess if they want to lose money, that's on them. Just a bad experience.. when this was my favorite restaurant. It could have been handled so much better.
I dined at this so called Mexican restaurant about 3 days ago and it was the worst Mexican food I have ever had in my life. The beans were very liquidy and no flavor. My aunt ordered a steak that tasted like the ranch and left in the fridge for days. Was very gross. Our waitress didn’t explain how the chicken was made in the enchiladas. Would not go again. stay away from this restaurant! There are way better places to eat.
Just walk out of there and I’m honestly concerned I will get food poisoning. I ordered carne asada and the food for sure tasted spoiled. I had two bites and I had a sour stink taste. Pico was so old that cilantro was dry. Beans and rice were old too. First time here and last. Don’t know who manages this but when you serve spoiled old food, how could you expect people to come back? Sad business ethic

No frills Mexican food in a neighborhood setting. There's a reason GTO is the default option for soo many. Good flavors, hearty portions, and low prices make this a great option if you're in the mood for a quick bite.
Food was amazing, especially for the price! Portions are huge. Great place to fill up before a night out.We arrived at 7:35pm on Saturday night for a party of 3 people, were the only people up front, and waited about 15 minutes for a server to put our name in for a table. We were able to sit down and order by 8:25pm. I highly recommend coming earlier given how busy the place is!
