My bf came here on a whim because the restaurant he originally was going to get food from closed unexpectedly for an event.He got the rib tips, smothered pork chops and fried catfish. All three were almost $20 each and came with two sides. He also got the banana pudding and peach cobbler.Everything was either too salty, too sweet or overcooked. The rib tips had barely any meat - mostly cartilage and overcooked, the sweet potatoes tasted like it came from a can, the dressing was horrible and my bf said it tasted like rotten turkey inside. The desserts were very meh. I mean, who makes banana pudding without any actual bananas in it?$80 later, we ended up throwing the majority of our food in the trash. We try to support local as frequently as we can but this experience was just horrendous. Never again.
I ordered food for a memorial and the owner went above and beyond. The Greens, Mac & Cheese, Smothered Porkchops, Fried Chicken, Dressing and Sweet Potatoes ALLLLLLL WERE Stellar! If I weren't traveling I would have ordered a pan of each to go back home with me. Thank you to Jeanie and her staff for EVERYTHING. When you are hurting you never want to worry about the small things.

Today was my first time trying this place I really wanted some soul food but wanted to try a new place. I got there was not greeted and waited for a long while before order was taken there was only one other person in there that had already placed her order. I paid $38.00 for my order and got home it was not worth it fish was barley fried and was a orange color maybe the batter or something, sweet potatoes not good taster like they just put honey over them, baked beans tasted like they just can and very plain. The only thing in my whole order that was good was the cornbread. I try to support black establishments as much as I can but this was an epic fail and I will not be eating there again.
The owner is awesome. Treats her customer greats. All the food is amazing ?. I recommend this restaurant.I really love the ribs greens and stuff can't forget the Mac and cheese.Can't wait to get in to try one of her corn beef bombs....The dessert ? are awesome too....
So I went and got some of this food people talking about and let me say this that da** Mac & cheese ain’t out no box but I do know I’ll be back to eat again food was so good I bit my hand trying to eat them smothered pork chops😩💜
This was my first time going here. They have great customer service. The Meats are cooked to order so you don’t have to worried about it being dried out or cold. The sweet potatoes was good I never had it baked before. If you want Turkey legs they have them too. It a Black Owned Restaurant. I heard how the name became Green and Things. This is a good restaurant. You can catch them down at Fiserv Forum on February 14, 2022.
Food was delicious. I got the smothered chicken and it was melt off the bone amazing. The owner was really nice and the food is made to order. Got my food 15 minutes after ordering. The bread pudding was also amazing. My wife was talking about it 3 days later.
I seen A Post On Face Book And Read They Was Black Owned and In My Hometown So I Had To See Was The Hype Was About ! I Ended coming in on their prep day but After I told her my drive time she HAPPILY TOOK MY ORDERS. Customer was AMAZING AND THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD! She Told Me I’ll Be Back And I’m definitely making the drive again I Cnt wait TEN OUT OF TEN RECOMMENDED
